It sounds like the remote needs to be replaced. On a lot of the remotes when you hold in the unlock button for a few seconds the windows will go down. This can happen when you least expect it like when the remote is in your pocket.
However, typically, you can find the power steering reservoir under the hood, near the engine. It is often a small plastic or metal container with a cap labeled "Power Steering" or with a steering wheel icon.
After taking it for a drive, feel the wheels and see if one is hot. This will indicate that the brake is dragging. A very common issue is the rubber flex hose. The support bracket will rust on the inside diameter and pinch off the tube. The master cylinder will have enough pressure to force the fluid into the caliper or wheel cylinder, but then it will be trapped there holding pressure on the brakes.
The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) evaporation hose on a 2015 Ford Edge with a 3.5 V6 engine is typically located near the firewall on the passenger side of the vehicle. It's a small rubber hose that allows condensation from the air conditioning system to drain outside the vehicle.
To locate the evaporation hose and inspect it for any blockages or damage, you may need to access it from underneath the vehicle. Look for a small rubber tube protruding from the firewall on the passenger side, usually towards the bottom.
If you're experiencing water on both sides of the front floorboard, it's possible that there may be another issue causing water intrusion, such as a leak in the door seals, sunroof .
Numerous connectors in the steering column have to be removed to replace the shifter tube. It's very likely there's a connection issue or possibly a short causing the dash lights to stay on.
Best way to pinpoint the problem is to go through the process of removing the shifter tube, but without removing it. Undo each connector one by one, with the key in the ignition in the OFF position.
As you pull each connector off, the light should go off when/if you've found the problematic wire or connector.
Why? is the door ajar light lit? No fuse or relay. Is a function of the SJB - smart junction box, ford's name for a Body control module. Door ajar switch is wired directly to the SJB. Hooking up a scan tool to check for codes would be one way to find which door switch is the problem . or watch the videos ,could just be stuck an needing cleaning. WD-40 an rust penetrant.

All spark plug wire have to be a certain length to fit between the coil and the spark plug. But don't just put any plug wire on your engine. There are different typess of cable and fitting the wrong one can affect how your engine runs. Your best option here is to take your vehicle details with you and buy the correct replacements for your vehicle.

You can't bypass vehicle alarm and security systems. They are there to stop exactly what you are trying to do. You have two computers, the ECM and BCM, plus the alarm module and a number of sensors protecting the vehicle from theft and unauthorized removal. You can't trick them because you can't reprogram them.
Either do a security system reset or find an auto electrician or locksmith / alarm installer. Cheaper than the dealership!

My first thought was that the timing belt had snapped, but you have a timing chain and it says this
Does a Ford Windstar have a timing belt or chain?
Best Answer. Your Ford Windstar had two engine options and they both ran a timing chain, not a timing belt. Belts need to be replaced at around 100K miles, but since you have a hardened steel timing chain, you have nothing to worry about. Your chain should last the life of the engine without being serviced.

Has the oil ever been changed. You saying there was a 'pop' concerns me but it may have been a backfire, or unburned fuel popping through the Throttle Body.
And then there is the grinding sound, but that might just be the starter on the flywheel.
The only way to diagnose is to call out a mobile mechanic.

What makes you think you need a new one? Is it leaking? That is the only reason to replace it.
No heat? This is the normal reason.

It is a $2,000 job because the dash has to come off and sometimes the A/C evaporator needs removing as well. BUT, descaling or flushing the system is easy and done from where the hoses go through the engine firewall
