Hi 03mazda6, welcome to Fixya! Glad to hear that you're interested in providing Premium Phone Support. In order to apply to provide Phone Support, you must first earn at least one Category Expert Badge. You do that by answering at least 50 free, unsolved problems in a given category, receiving at least 5 ratings on those solutions, and maintaining at least an 80% average asker rating on those solutions. There's a module on the right of your Answer Questions page that will help you track your progress towards new Badges. Category Expert Badges you've earned will appear at the top of that module, as well as on the left of your My Profile page. Once you have earned a Category Expertise Badge, you will be able to apply to provide Phone Support via the banner advertising it on your Answer Questions page. You will need a US phone number to apply. FixYa is currently doing a major overhaul on Phone Support, to introduce some key features our Experts requested. While we're working on these changes, we will not be doing Phone Support interviews or approving new Experts. However, as soon as the changes are complete, hopefully within the month, we will immediately start approving new Experts for the system. Cancelling isn't easy, you have to contact Support. Unsubscribing is easy, but you will only get an email if someone answers your question. Click on your name on upper right side, click 'My Account' and uncheck the items that you don't want. Thanks for giving Fixya a try, it is a great FREE website.

Well that is truly a sorry statement to hear. No one every hears from 'Support' as the site is now owned by a capital investment company. Yes, you can either change your email in settings to one that doesn't exist, or delete the Gmail account linked to it. If you ask something on an old question, it is unlikely to be answered. It is better to ask your own question. A couple of tips... Put 'make model (what it is)' as the first three words.. For a car, 'year make model'. There are 10,000 categories to choose from. Proof read before posting. Use proper sentences and punctuation please.

I remember you Dennis! Accounts are never deleted unless you are a persistent spammer and of course that is not the case with you. The information you posted is very dated. No one here earns cash, not even me, I have been here since the start, currently 8 to 12 hours a day, 55,583 questions answered, 7.5 million people helped (the counter broke at 6.5 million). The only opportunity to earn cash is on the sister site www.6ya.com which is a telephone service. The Fixya site was sold a few years back to Globalscape who are a capital investment company specializing in online website communities that generate millions of dollars in advertising revenue. Question edited for clarity and tidy up the English. Only Fixya IT can remove accounts, and in my experience, they seldom do. They will only remove accounts for spamming 'work at home money-making schemes' or if your helpful answers are actually promoting your own business. The place to ask is here, they don't monitor anything in this category.
