HOW DO i REPLACE BEARINGS ON A FESTOOL ROTEX RO 150E

https://www.kruis.nl/onderdelen/festool/ro-150-e/v2 To get the bearings off you will first start by removing the eccentric gear part and you can't see it but you put an Allen key through the mounting hole of the sanding pad to remove it a vice is that easy and when it is off then fix the brass eccentric part with a large screwdriver and then manually remove the anchor from the cone wheel which drives the crown wheel. some needed tools phillips screwdriver, allen keys, vice, and a blade puller

This is a table saw with a little problem between after a 3 and 4 years of...

This is a tip for EVERYBODY who have a Festool CS 70 EB table saw , that just out of warranty or between 3 and 4 years old. If there was nothing wrong then the table was not daily used or there was very much luck because of a little problem that is easy to repair. and thats by 1 thing that on factory was doing wrong by this beautiful quality product, and i have more then 25 tables customized on the motor because of the bad place of only one little ty-rap on the wires that give not only much tension but also trouble by the tremble of the saw function, first of all is the disassembling of the motor that should somebody who knows about powertool repair. first its important you know what is the electric field of the motor you can see here
img_20170223_123121-bskgf21iojrsnsthk45xa5xe-2-0.jpg
You see the ty-rap in the middle and the tension on the wires that has to much force on the contacts of the electric field
img_20170223_123132-bskgf21iojrsnsthk45xa5xe-2-1.jpg
cut that little ty-rap carefully and look then
img_20170223_123405-bskgf21iojrsnsthk45xa5xe-2-3.jpg
All of the wire contacts are because of tension at this moment of remove the ty-rap faultering it was already faultering if you work with the tool but you not see it in first time.
img_20170223_123859-bskgf21iojrsnsthk45xa5xe-2-6.jpg
Thats the electric field unmounted from the motorhouse the contacts are now to see they are loose weak but ready to soldering. look here behind

VID_20170223_123427.3gp look the differences between the videos unsoldered and soldered wires . It will take sometimes an hour with intermediate start and stop thats neccesary if the motor have on one side of the carbon brush a spark because of faultering fieldcontacts before the brush sparks on one or both brushes , i have done in some years 25 tables and it will build according to the ty-rap principle with that unlucky bad ty-rap but i have never bought a new armature but it must cleaned and the commutator should recover if not smooth flat and round by lathe or on other way and fully cleaned relubricate or replaced the ballbearings of the armature , the armature was sparking and it can take one hour motor that the commutator will be become smoot again if it was not a very bad sparking problem.

If you have a some older CS70EB and have removed the drive belts control them both good on little rips after long working hours.

My Festool Kapex 120 miter saw stopped working in full power. All of a sudden is runs very slow, what is the problem?

Maybe 2 things can happens Or in the bad case the armature has become defect by dirty /or dry bad bearings if it smells or the housing became hot replace the armature or in the second case a broken or loose magnet ring this ring is on the armature and is working for the speedcontrol position 65 . can caused by a hot- dry and dirth bearing.

Festool RO 125 leaves scuff marks when sanding

depends how important it is to vacuum the dust, most generic brand sandpaper discs will have different hole placements for the sander and the vacuum cant suck the dust up. if you are getting swirl marks from the edge of the sander, is the disc too small? a generic brand that is slightly larger may work but try and keep the sander flat or the excess disk can cause a little trouble with the finish.

My motor Boggs down

This can be caused by a dull blade. Installing one laminate floor is enough to dull a new carbide blade.

My Festool orbital sander has suddenly omitted a puff of smoke from the top and has stopped working

If you have shorting again by trying replace the capacitor but if it is not working try to turn a little the fan insite there is a collector burned out the commutator of the armature . if the machine was too hot replace both the armature and electric field if the lasting is not to great , ask yourself is my machine not to old for repair ?? because of the costs of the spare parts and the housing and remaining part. try out if the machine was not running this connect the cable again switch it on and carefully use a small screwdriver through the ventilation slot over but do not be surprised if he comes quite sparks and run.The electric statorfield can on one coil side be broken

Festool cleantec , vacum system suddenly stopped

Autostop in carbon brushes > replace carbon brush if there is no wear problem on the armature commutator. the Other defect can be the electronic print. or the powerswitch is clogged with dust between the contacts

Intermittent running

its possible that the mains lead is breaking down, when it stops give the cable a wiggle and see if it starts up again, if it does then just replace mains lead

I need replacement armature brushes

I did some serius research looking for replacement brushes.

This appears to be the cheapest site:
http://cgi.ebay.com/FESTOOL-2-PC-Brushes-RO150-FEQ-Rotex-Sanders-/330469169477

There are 9 different models of the 150 sander.

There are different brush part numbers also:
One model uses pn 492629 Brush pair
one model uses pn 494145 Brush pair
another one uses pn 491363 (Brush and holder)

So it is important to know your exact model number:
Use this site for selecting your sander:

http://ekat.festool.com/EKAT_USA/jsp/main.jsp?doAction=catalogAssy&k_vari=&k_ver=&image=0&k_lfdnr=&nodeId=24&sig=06A7C35F5DE7A9827391A1432064B18F16C6053A1D7D66771A1CF3F1F7D49A8D4FA0A91C37AA39EA0754929FB5AC719C29C6A506E792BD4DA58394B19B95E10C

Note all of the model number in the left column. (cookies / pop-ups enabled)

The site will match your model number to the brush set you will need. Just note that on some models it will say brush holder. I used Festool USA. There is a global site at www.festool.com
Any parts will be listed under support / product parts catalog after you select 1 ot the 3 regions.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Problem guiding the direction of cut with a jigsaw.

check that surface plate is square with the blade.don't push too hard,or force the saw,let it cut at it's own speed, guide rather than force.a scroll saw or band saw is more accurate as you control the work piece instead of the tool.
