It depends where you live!

the IMEI has to be registered with your service provider for their provisioning to download onto the phone. Removing the battery should reveal the IMEI number and you can then call your service provider to have that data corrected. Also note that if the phone happens to be a CDMA device ( Verizon or Sprint ) it may need a SIM card. on rare occasions these cards have memory holes or have been otherwise damaged and may need replaced.

I assume that you are talking about the samsung galaxy note 3 which use a micro-sim and support 2g, 3g and 4g network: if you are getting 'no service' it means that your note 3 cannot 'register' itself to the AT&T provider: try using this specific sim with another mobile from the same location and if it works then it is most likely a configuration issue with the note 3 (e.g. you must select the correct 2g or 3g or 4g network to connect). If your sim does not work with another mobile phone, then the SIM is probably not activated and will not register/will have no service: call AT&T help desk to get the SIM/number activated. ps. you can always take your Note 3 to an AT&T dealer and ask them to help you set your device for free (but ask first!). Its broken, take it back and complain, tell them what is wrong and ask for a replacement. If they do not replace it, tell everyone you know about them and the problem and tell them that they should never ever buy anything from this manufacturer, because their quality control is inadequate.

check the sd card on your pc/laptop make sure its in fat32 format. check record settings, on record setting (4gb and above) set it to intervals of 15min. and save setting. sd cards over 8gb are prone to over heat or not record over as it needs to be able to record over older files. 32gb type you need a high end sd card for them to last the better the quality of sd card the better they last. you can also get a corrupted data file either on the video of the format. either way the ds card will need formatting again. hope this helps.
