How do I push in the back of my Energizer Weather Ready Flashlight WR2A3ACE after changing batteries?

It is a strange unit in that it takes 3 different sizes of battery. My guess is that the battery cassette is not in place correctly, turn 90' and try and then180' and try. https://www.google.com/search?q=Energizer+Weather+Ready+Flashlight+WR2A3ACE+change+batteries ..

Light came on for about 10 secs then started flashing.took batteries out,put them back in and then when it came on it looked like a strobe light..then turned off..I now cannot make it come back on.

The strobe effect is an indication of insufficient contact at either the positive terminal or negative terminal. Check terminals for a tension (pressure) against the batteries.

Eveready 6volt plastic flashlights do not work more than once.

Here in the UK I have never had much luck with flashlights (or torches as we call them!) stored in the car-exactly the same problem as you -the battery is always flat when you come to use it. I have even tried slackening the base off to break the contacts-makes no difference. Best to get a rechargeable one like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-pcs-15-LED-RECHARGEABLE-WORK-LIGHT-FLASHLIGHT-TOOLS-/330510652438?hash=item4cf3f85416:m:m9OEtxPyWSFj8nAyzf1i4Mw Only downside is you can't leave this model on charge so if you can try to find one with a regulated power supply which can be left permanently on charge without damaging the batteries. Avoid the million candlepower ones too-yes they are very bright but only last 15 minutes on a charge!

Energizer WeatherReady lantern came with batteries; worked once. Can't unscrew the top to change batteries. Possible battery corrosion? Is there a workaround fix?

Mix water and baking soda together until baking soda is dissolved. Take a small baking pan or a bowel with a flat bottom and place the lantern in a vertical position, bottom down and slowly pour in the baking soda solution so the solution is 1/4" above the battery lid so the solution can soak into the threads of the lid. Let sit overnight. Next morning, slowly lift the lantern out of the solution without tipping it keeping it vertical, and slowly unscrew the lid over the sink. Keep in mind there will be solution inside the lantern when you first open it, so be careful not to tip it until you dry out the inside.

How do I change the bulb of the 6V Eveready Lantern if bulb won't come out

Drop a couple of drops of WD 40 on the bulb retaining ring. Let site overnight and in the morning it will easily unscrew. Note: be sure you use only a couple of drops as you don't want to get it on the reflective lense

How to fix the switch on eveready lantern flashlight

The switch in the lantern is a press fit switch so you will destroy it when you remove it. Remove the lense and retainer ring. Remove the battery. With a pair of pliers, preferably channel lock water pump pliers crush the switch into small piece and discard. Trail Tech makes the exact water resistant switch model 040-ls-b and you can get it at Amazon or on eBay . The switch runs around $6.25 + $4.00 shipping

Inside the case of the light, there will be 1 wire with a tapered notched connector. Take the connector with the low end of the taper and push it into the negative (-) spring (in between the coils ) of the battery. How do I Replace the batteries on Energizer ML1W2AAE

If you can remove the base, but the batteries will not slide out because of battery swelling or corrosion you can drill a small 1/8" hole in the battery base (negative end) about 1/4" deep. Get a #10 sheet metal screw and slowly screw it into the bottom of the battery and pull it out. Be careful not to get any of the battery residue on you and if you do don't worry just wash it off. Do the same to the second battery, but use a longer screw.

Change the battery in the hard case

Start by unscrewing the lense cap retaining ring. Pinch and remove the clip from the negative (-) spring on the battery. Remove battery and slide new one in. Reconnect wire connector in between spring on the negative side of the battery. Note: some lanterns have a v'd plastic ear on the back of the reflector so when you go to screw the reflector back on, align the v'd ear with the plastic bar inside the case under the handle and slide it together until you can screw the retainer ring on.
