I would try installing the game using program comparability troubleshooter

Check your video drivers to make sure they are all up to date. If that doesnt fix it, try updating your game. If that doesnt fix it check the system requirements to see if you rig can actually run it on current operating system and your video card.

If you a downloading for free check a youtube tutorial if that doesn't work buy it.

I think Nglide and setting your colors from 32-bit to 16-bit works. At least it worked for me. Didn't even have to use compatibility function.

you have to insert the cd 1 and then you have to copy crack from cd to the location where you have installed your game

there should something in cotrol panel instal that if in compatality with ur current system game will install in compatible system or update drive for game

If you have administrator rights on the machine you are using you should be able to run the game in a compatibility mode such as Windows XP. Basically your operating system makes the game think that an older operating system is running it. To do this right click on the executable, click "properties" and click on the "compatibility" tab. Tick the box that says "run this program in compatibility for:" and then make a selection as to which operating system you would like.
This should work. If in doubt as to what to select, a good bet is to see when the game was released and pick that era of operating system.

Open the game file in my computer and then double click "set up" which should have a pc icon next to it this overides the autorun thing and allows you to install it or it did for me at least
