Hot water not going, wanting
You have a real good description of your thermostat--
I wonder why you suspect the thermostat to be causing your 'No Hot Water' problem?
First of all, I have to be sure I understand your real problem--
When you say you want to 'turn the Hot Water back on', (It is 'Not going')
Do you mean you want a boiler (maybe in the basement?) -- or maybe a zone valve in a Hot Water, Baseboard heating system-- to be heating your house/ room/ apartment?
I would suppose, if you have the thermostat set higher than the room temperature, that it should be giving a 'call' to the boiler (or Baseboard Hot Water Heater..) to ignite a fire, and heat the waer, and then heat your room, or house.
So-- Could the problem be in the Device heating the Hot Water?
Please tell us more about your heating system-- what type of fuel, -- What happens when you lower the Thermostat, and then raise it-- What used to happen, and what does NOT now happen, etc.
Tell us more clues-- maybe we can help remotely like this-

Emerson CF4800 with SW375 receiver that does not turn on fan!
Please excuse me if you already have the answer, but I went thru the same thing and found that the actual receiver was broken. The receiver that is found in the top part of the fan itself. I was able to diagnose the problem because I have two of the same fans in the house and when I switched the receiver units, the broken fan started to work. Hope that helps.
How do I set Clock?
Disconnect the microwave from the power source while the power is still
out. If the microwave is a built-in, turn off the circuit breaker.
Otherwise, unplug the microwave from the wall outlet. This prevents a
power surge from damaging the magnetron tube when the power is restored.Turn on the circuit breaker or plug the microwave into the outlet only
when you are sure that the power is permanently restored. If there are
still storms in the area, the power may be disrupted again.
Reset the clock on the microwave. Microwaves vary slightly on how to set
the clock, but usually there is a clock button you press. Use the
number pad to input the correct time and press the clock button again to
set it.
Test the microwave by heating some water to ensure that it is still in good operating condition.

You probably have to do the reverse manually as you have a Hunter remote on a Emerson. Why do you want it to go in reverse?
