Maybe try unplugging t.v. and heavily washing the controls area. if you do this do not plug the tv back in until the washed area is excessively dry.

You have selected an input on the display that is not getting any signal that the display can recognize. Press the source button either on the set or on the remote until you get a signal.

then you have your tv set to over the air not cable look for that in the menu

if you have the remote an can access the menu set it to cable an then autoscan.

did you set it to cable an then do a channel scan

there is always a fuse in all tv's if the fuse blew then you will most always find some other fried component.
