I have a 46" Dynex LCD TV that comes on, then after about 5 min - 3 hours it will turn blue or white and blue and make a really loud on going screech (That scares the hell out of me).

My screen will not turn on even tho there is power?

Just repaired this TV today. You will need to purchase the inverter board. The TV will power up....you will see "PLEASES WAIT", and disappear, you have a black screen. When you remove the back cover, look to your left. You will see a long vertical board. That is the board you will replace. Seek shop jimmy, enter model number of your TV. You will see an inverter board for $24.95 plus $9.50 shipping. Thanks for asking me, Matt of Martins TV Repair.

Great picture, but why no sound?

It may be a manufacturing problem. I recommend you call the people at Dynex. If they don't respond it may be because the sound card is broken.

Check the system setting. Select it to 'Auto'. Improper setting to system will cause this. If it is selected properly, check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis.
