Dyna-glo leaking air from back of air pump

If air is leaking from the back of the air pump, it could be due to a faulty gasket or seal. Before considering replacing the entire pump and motor, you should first try to locate the source of the leak and determine if it can be repaired. Here are a few steps you can take:
  1. Turn off the pump and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Inspect the pump and motor for any visible damage or cracks.
  3. Check the steel band to see if it is tight enough and not causing any gaps where air could escape.
  4. Inspect the gaskets and seals around the back of the pump for any signs of wear or damage.
  5. If you identify any damaged gaskets or seals, you can try replacing them with new ones to see if that resolves the issue.
If you are unable to identify the source of the leak or if replacing the gasket or seal does not fix the problem, you may need to consider replacing the entire pump and motor. In that case, you may want to contact the manufacturer or a qualified repair technician for assistance.

My Dyna-glo model RMC-8001SS propane heater will spark but pilot will not light. It's been sitting in storage for a few years. Any ideas? Thanks!

Possibly a failed thermocouple? Is there a button you have to hold in after it lights. If there is, users often let go to soon. First you have to pull the gas through the system. Can you hear the gas hissing? https://www.mrheater.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=+RMC-8001ss+replacement+thermocoupler+parts or you could ask them Please call our Service Department at 1-800-251-0001, where our technicians will gladly assist you. Can an external thermostat be added to a Dyna-Glo 30,000 BTU Dual-Fuel Vent-Free Radiant Wall Heater.

There is a kit but you would have to check with the makers of your heater to see if it would work with your heater

My dyna glo heater runs for about 15 minutes then

The Oxygen Deletion Sensor (ODS) is clogged with dust, lint and/or pet hair. It's a safety feature that;'s reading the oxygen level as unsafe for operation. This happens because it's clogged.

You will need to turn the gas off and dismantle the heater's cabinet to access the Pilot Assembly.
Once you've down that, locate the pilot assembly and use a can of compressed air with a straw nozzle (like you clean your computer with) to blow out the pilot tip, Then look down the pilot itself, about 2/3rds of the way down from the tip (where the flame comes out) you will see a small hole in the side of the pilot. That's the ODS Sensor. Place the straw nozzle just barely into the hole and give a quick blast of air. That should clean any debris out off the ODS Sensor.

If you notice a lot of dust and lint o the inside of the heater, clean that out with a vacuum cleaner that has a hose and brush or crevice attachment. After cleaning thoroughly, reassemble the heater, turn on the gas and give it a try.

If that didn't solve the problem, you may need to replace the Thermocouple. Depending on the age of the heater; how much it has been used and not cleaned and service at least annually, it may be wearing out.

Hope this helped solve your problem. Please let me know.

Installed Dyna-Glo BT30 dual gas, hooked it to lap gas an can’t get pilot light to light. Have spark but not getting gas past gas cable where lost hooks to bottom of heater. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Roger

if the grill is new which it sounds like just might need to be bled (turn on and lets the burners run bout 10 mins. is an option and the 1st i would try if its brand new 2cd. wth gas on a thin piece of paper held over pilot light will conferm if there is gas flow. if now results check for saftey seals along gas path. if its a older grill remove line from lp tank and bottom of grill connection run achohal thru line bug just might'a built a nest. hope this helps
