The problem was the motor. Replace the blower motor and resister and it should be fine. If the blower motor resistor is experiencing repeated failure, the blower motor is likely drawing too much current. Excess current draw from the blower motor will cause the resistor to burn out. The easiest thing to do would be to contact your local Mopar dealer and have them get you a replacement key. You will just need proof of ownership. If you replace the column, it still wont start without having the security system reprogrammed for the new key.

If you have a console shifter, there should be a round plastic plug to pop out, insert a small screwdriver and push down to release the shifter. On the column it is under it. Push up to release.

Are you Lead Wheel weights in place. Jack the car up, spin the wheel. Does it run straight and true, or is the wheel oval? Does the tyre have bulges in the tread or on the inner or outer sidewalls? Spin the wheel again. Does it run smoothly and quietly or are the wheel bearings rough, crunchy and loose? Grasp the top and bottom of the wheel, push the top and pull the bottom. Is there any play? Do the same front and back of the wheel. Any play there? Now get underneath, and check Steering Tie Rod ends, top and bottom ball joints for play and wear. Check the transmission CV Joints for play. If both the coolant hoses are hot then the coolant is passing through the heater core. You probably have an actuator or blend door that is not working. It may be restricted by commanding it to work. A scanner could help you find out the problem.
