Often this kind of switch has a overload circuit breaker as part of the switch , with use it becomes over sensitive , and opens the circuit even when there is no over load, then cools and the contacts close and the lights come on again. You can either replace the switch or fit a dual head light relay, which may be the best solution.

They are all over the engine, about 14 total, 4 in the cylinder heads, 6 in the block on the sides under the heads and I think 2 at the back of the block where the tranny bell housing bolts up and 2 more in the front of the block .

one way to tell if your engine is getting fuel is to turn the key but dont start it you should hear a buzz which indicates your engine is getting fuel if you dont hear the buzz you need new fuel pump. if you hear the buzz before it starts and are going only 25 check your transmission fluid make sure its not low and if its dirty change it asap it could fix your issue there, i could be wrong also but if you dont hear a buzz before you start your going to need new fuel pump and if youre doing this might as well change your fuel filter to. if it has to much dirt and is dirty you can lose pressure and your engine will run real lean.

Look around on the large pulley on the bottom for something with an electrical connector going to it.

You have a short to power or ground. Inspect for rubbing wires under dash and near fuse box. Also you can remove fuses one at a time for radio, dome lights, cluster, windows etc and try to isolate short that way. If the fuse doesn't blow after you pull one of those you know the short is is one of those areas.

Most likely a loose wire, or a bad earth, check all earth wires including engine to chassis strap, car must have large earth to battery from chassis and engine, and/or an engine to chassis strap sometimes a relay needs replacing, does it happen the same on low as high beam? if it's ok on low then it's likely the relay probably near the fuses, if it's the same on low, then check the switch and plugs under dash and at light bulbs, light plugs often get corrosion as do the globe tags.

Egr valve is sticking on so bad idle when you slowly take off valva open to fast putting to mush air in the engine equal hesitation leave the car idling take something like a hammae gently tap on that egr and your idle should get better after disconnect the electrical part of the egr and road test it should be good and after its your decision to change it or leave it like that if you leave it disconnect check engine light will be on but you no its because you disconnected that valve

TIPM could be to blames, there are several recalls and complaints about the module. That said, it will usually cause other issues than just front signals. I'd be looking at connections and the switch itself.
