Frist use your cell phone camera mode to see if remote is putting out IR signal, you should be able to see the Infared led light up on the cell phone display, if it does then remote is good and IR receiver inside the Tv is at fault. Just point the remote at you cell phone camera while pushing a button on the remote.

Buy a lens cleaner...about $10-$15

Does it power up? if it does that you can rule out a prolem withyour power supply pac. If it does power up and it doesnt start than might be a problem in the power supply section mainly the rectifying section.Try opening it up and look for visible signs of damage.

If you tried all of the codes and still nothing I suggest to have the control find it for you. Programming with code search on page 10 will help you with that. The only thing I do not know is the model number for the universal remote so the instructions may not be right on.

Hmmm a wild guess perhaps you should try to add channel 0 (zero)?

replace the batteries.....or may be ur LED bulb in the remote corresponding to the TV is bent in other direction.....place the remote in front of TV or may be your Digital Box and use it

Sounds like the drive is broken. Luckilly DVD players cost like $10 now.

This tv/dvd combo is a NTSC DVD disc region only.Only read DVD disc from US,Canada or Mexico only sorry.Can not changes it to mutiple region to read PAL DVD disc in Europe,Asia,Middle East or Africa.Must buy a region free DVD player to play all the world DVD disc regions.

This tv was produced by some small company for the Disney Corporation,so there are no universal codes out there for this tv.100% i'm sure have original remote.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the original remote.

when picture is getting smaller in size or goes away then hit your TV lightly on left side or right side or on top & then observe ..........you will get normal picture or it comes & again it goes....if it is happening like that then following is the situation..........after 4 or 5 yrs in some CRT computer monitors & CRT TVs on main board at some soldering joints crack develops....then due to loose contact picture becomes small in size & disappears...........when we hit that lightly then those loose contacts joins temporarly & again picture appears for some time............so solution is ......TV main board should be observed carefully & most of the joints should be re-soldered.......only a good service engineer can do that........even after hitting TV lightly if there is no response then main board has to be checked completely........in your case iam sure it is loose connection problem.........joints should be re- soldered ...100% it works again................this problem cannot be solved by user unless user has idea about components( resisitors, transisitors, diodes,...etc) , have soldering iron , multimeter & other tools....................so contact good TV service engineer

First unplug it and check the entire cord for spits and or cracks. Make sure that is OK. Some outlet sockets have a circuit breaker on them. If you have one see if it accidentally tripped and reset it. Perhaps the circuit breaker in the circuit box tripped. Check that as well. Now maybe the outlet you are using is bad or went bad. Try an outlet you know is working right now. If you try all of these and it does not turn on then something inside the DVD player is malfunctioning.

Best Buy won't fix things that are covered under manufacturer's warranty. To fix this, you need to find the manufacturer of your portable DVD player and contact their warranty department.

lots of electrical items will use a default security code of 0000 or 1234.
if there is nothing in the manual and these codes do not work, then your best option would be to return it to the store for them to find the codes or refund/refpace the item

did u ever find a resoulution?? we just purchased one as well. that came with mickey round up dvd..we purchased a compatiable handy manny an baby einstien dvd. we cant get mote to work...or do set-up. Any suggestions??

It is most likely a fault within the switchmode power supply - due mostly to the ever infamous electrolytic capacitors and zener diodes (the capacitors fail which increases DC voltage through the diodes, shorting them out). It could prove expensive to repair by a service centre, if that's what you want to do. You can submit the player to your local repair centre for a quote, and get a second opinion on the exact nature of the problem, then you can make a decision about any further action for it from there.

These days, so many DVD and Blu-Ray players are becoming cheaper to buy, while repairs on the same units become more and more expensive and/or uneconomical as parts are often difficult or impossible to obtain. Unless you have electronics experience, knowledge, A-grade soldering/component measurement and diagnostic skills, plus an understanding of service manuals, do not undertake the repairs yourself.

However, it is up to you what you decide to do from here. Cheaper and easier to buy a new player - consider this option ONLY as a last resort.

Typically if the connection on the tv doesn't work right away with the composite cables, (red white and yellow) it's the cables.
I would suggest you replace the cables that you're using, this may alleviate the issue.
