Final anode cap arcing is the problem to your TV. Just unplug final anode cap from the top of the picture tube bell.[discharge the final anode properly before remote it]. Sometimes LOT {line Output Transformer} might be repalced. Picture of the LOT is attached here. You can see the final anode cap, an attached part to LOT. It is silicone rubber cap, look like a ****** at the end of EHT wire.

CD loading mechanism has the fault. Might have to replace it.

No way around this one: someone has to remove and open the unit to see what is wrong--anything from something is inside that does not belong or a mechanism out of position.Many times if opened the discs can be gently moved to clear the jam--in our shop we charge 5 dollars to open and look.

YOU can drop in a cleaning disc= could be dirt on the optical pickup inside the unit OR the optical could be bad.

Check the soldering points at the infrared LED of the remote. You have to open to acces this point. If fould loose soldered, resodler that point by applying a little more solder. If it d not help you check the remote control for its infrared emission. It could be one of several things:

• Dirty disc. Clean with outward strokes with a paper towel and water or Windex if needed
• Dead DVD player
• DVD may be for a region that your player does not support.
• If the DVD is burned (home made), sometimes players are not forgiving and not all will play burned discs.

You most likely have a problem with the mechanism in the unit or something dealing with the optical pickup--depending on cost of the unit it may be less expensive to just replace it.Most combo units (this is posted as one) only sell (if available) the entire DVD section.

Some able to open the unit up would have to look at the mechanism inside to see if something that does not belong inside (coin etc) is jamming the mechanism.The mechanism could be out of alignment or have a damaged or bad part--on a unit like this one if bad likely not worth the cost of a major repair.SD TECH

HelloThe horizontal output transistor for Red color output is shorted. Replace it with same type and number.

If it say not supported, It may mean the dvd disk is dirty. Sometime invisible hand oil evaporated on the disk. You rinse the disk off hot tap water and block off the water drops and try all the disks again.

HelloIf the set reads CD and MP3, and not reads DVD discs only, replace its laser pickup unit. It is faulty.

It is best to check with your dealer before any steps are taken so that the warranty is not void.Sometimes this can be a manufacturing defect or a region problem which must be corrected by the dealer.
