Wont fire just releases air

This problem is due to failed orings in the gun and the trigger valve. If you have access to orings, replace all the vinyl orings that feel sticky or like putty (at least 3 in the trigger valve). Finally, make sure that the driver blade moves freely within the cylinder and that there are no jammed nails within the path of the driver.

What is bulkhead on pneumatic nailgun

The bulkhead on a nailer is the part that separates the pressure chamber from the lower compartment of the nailer. Usually round center hole for the cylinder to pass thru. The outer shape conforms to the inner contour of the body. Usually made of plastic some are metal and have orings seals or oring surface.

Put air on my D51844 it starts firing nail out i have not touch the trigger what is the problem danger

Dewalt uses a combination buna and vinyl orings. The vinyl orings in their nailers fail by turning into putty. To fix your problem replace the trigger valve or the vinyl orings within. You will meed three orings in the trigger valve, (buna 70) , two rings are 2mm and one is 6mm. Within the body of the gun there are 5 more vinyl orings that fail. The rebuild kit has some vinyl orings and will most likely fail also. Convert to buna for longer life. Good luck

I am in Canada and I cannot get a Black & Decker

What I do know is that some NiCd 12V Black decker batteries that look similar to the dewalt ones they are charged by the dewalt charger. But there are 12V Nicd black and decker batteries that they can not be charged due to an extra plastic edge that does not allow to be charged by the dewalt charger. Now if you do have the dewalt lithium 36V charger and if the black and decker battery is a 36V lithium one and can not be charged due to a plastic edge then I would recommend to risk to destroy the plastic edge in order the black and decker battery to be charged.

Hello guys, I have the Dewalt 18v 16 gage angled finish nailer. fantastic gun but I'm starting to have problems whilst using it upside down ie, Skirtings. Does anyone have any idea of the cause? Sam.

If it works when upright, perhaps the nose piece is not fully depressed. I have the same problem using my pneumatic finish gun.

Threads stripped in bearing retainer. How do you remove the bearing in the center?

You will either have to get a removal tool to take it out or drill/cut it out carefully.

How to replace nut on end of drive shaft on 352vs sander

If you have a long enough shaft you can grab onto it with a pipe wrench or vice grip while using an open end on the large nut. You may be able to get it into a bench vice as well. These quite often have lock tight on them as well. Heating may help you out but you will have to move quick.

Hi the gun wont fire

Had the same problem with mine. Remove the 3 screws on top and remove the lid. on mine the firing pin assembly was jammed. If the roller seems to be holding the pin carriage too tight then you need to prise up the spring mechanism over the carriage. To do this go to the end at the back of the machine and insert a screwdriver between the top carriage and the frame. prise gently and it should pop up. the firing pin should now move freely

Modified stator field

dw712 crosscut saw miter saw i have had a problem with the motor stator electric field and i was surprised by the MODIFICATION not seen if you don,t know about that this machine has undergone by the later builds of the same type . Because the difference was not to find in the diagram and ordernumber of this stator field , because the older model has only 2 connecting wires,, and the later modified model has a stator field with 4 connecting wires . it has also a different ordernumber and is also a little bit more expensive. So be warned when ordering a statorfield check the stator after 2 or 4 stator contacts advance order , it can has also be modified in the usa on the same way . !! i have also have asked for made changes on a diagram by Stanley/Dewalt (England) in between 1 hour they have made an change for it , for a powertool that was missing a type of [ model DC837 type 1] type 10 and 11 where the only ones to see there but type 1 was missing and the switch for that model was a problem but they have special made a kit for it because of the modified switch . Hello my dewalt dc618 wont fire its bands and belts are all good.it tries to fire but only when no nails a in it.i think the driver is worn can you help thanks.

I've been using dewalt tools exclusively for 15 years. I've fixed numerous drivers, sawzals, etc. I've learn 3 things over and over again. 1 cleaning & lubing are grossly under rated, 2 if one part goes the rest are not far behind & 3 it has never cost me more than $20 to $30 bucks more to have the repair place rebuild it than to fix it myself. And most times they give you a new bulk packaged tool as a rebuilt. My recommendation: have it rebuilt...enjoy the new tool.
