clean the screen out on the end of the spout

inside the centre spout of the faucet where it sits on the baseplate is a divertor valve. this is not functioning properly and should be replaced. check the delta web site for a break down of parts.

One method that I have had good results with is to shut off water supply to faucet and remove supply lines then remove faucet from sink. Clean surface of sink and faucet base and dry completely. Get a roll of double sided carpet tape andput a couple of layers on sink covering slightly larger area then faucet base.use rubber or plastic gasket that came with your faucet and put another ptece of tape on bottom side.Put your faucet back in and tighten retaining nut as tight as you can. You can trim excess tape from around faucet base with exacto or utility knife. Hope this helps you. Have a good new year and thank you.

i am not sure which cap you refer to. there is a cap just below the handle. turn off the water supply for safety and remove handle then turn the cap counter clockwise. to replace the hose you should only have to disconnect at the handle to the sprayer and the other end at the faucet below the sink. if you wish to remove the faucet then after shutting off the water undo the nut below holding the faucet in place. delta have a good web site where you can see a breakdown of this faucet.

their is a round top part of the handle, take a knife and pry off the cap, then you will need a Phillips
screw driver

or you could simply replace o rings.marks supply is where i get hard to find parts.

Not much you can do but pull it apart and repaint it yourself...

should be able to just push hose up from under sink and thread sprayer head back on

I personally would not call this plumber back if that was his prognosis. Sounds like it might have a stripped thread you could possibly try some loctite on the portion of thread before tightening or just replace the unit especially if it has age on it's side. Good Luck..

try taking handle off and shut off water from stem..nall inside body may have turned>>once off install handle at point where it goes in

I have the exact same faucet in my house. There are Orings
on the body that get dried out. You need to have those Orings
replace and lubed up.

Call Delta Faucets and ask for a complete rebuild kit. The parts should be free if you are the original owner.

You might also be able to obtain warranty assistance by contacting the retailer / dealer where your faucet was obtained from.

Delta comes with a limited lifetime warranty. call them to get free parts. I believe you will need to check several things. Remove the spray head from the sprayer hose, point the hose into the sink drain and turn the faucet on. If it no longer makes the banging noise, replace the spray head. You need to look for a leaking spray hose under the sink also. If the faucet is making noise, replace the ball and cam assembly under the faucet handle. One other thing that I have run into is that the shut-off valves under the sink can also go bad and cause banging and vibration.

Remove spay head from the end of the sprayer hose and turn the water on. If you have good pressure without the head, call Delta and ask for a new spray head. If you still have low water pressure without the spray head attached, call Delta and ask for a new ceramic disc cartridge free.
