Delstar is a USB mp3 player and you don't need any statup disk. Maybe it came originally with a CD as help to intall USB port on windows 98SE If it won't work simply inserting it in your USB port check if it's blocked by lock but I believe it has no lock so if won't work, it is DEAD. MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. To get Itunes bought songs to play on your mp3 player are in ACC.You may need to change it into whatever format your player calls for. they may have to be converted to a different format before they will work in your Mp3 player. Check your user manual for this information.

You can charge the unit through the USB port, just get the appropriate usb cable and leave it charge 3-4 hours for a full charge. You can get the USB cable at any electronics/computer store.

With my Delstar Ds 216 mp3 player came a USB cord. All I have to do it hook it up to my computer (the computer has to be on), and it charges. It normally takes a couple hours to get a full charge.

Try the following:

Make sure unit is powered on.
Use the up and down keys to navigate in the main menu to the calibrate icon.

Once you select “Calibrate” icon press OK key.
Blue screen will appear with targets in corner.
Use the stylus to touch targets slowly and accurately
Repeat if necessary.

You can easily put a music to your device by inserting it to you computer, some device except apple mp3 and mp4 players are like almost the same, you just have to copy and paste the list of songs from your computer to your device folder that can be found in you MY COMPUTER- DEVICE FOLDER NAME.
