No it would not have to do with the problem.

It needs to be unlocked and programmed by a GM dealer. I had mine done for about $75 US. When first installed it behaved just like yours - blue screen and no response.

most times-a backfire is caused by being slightly out of time or bad valves--not sure of your year make or model of car. Sometimes the timing will jump and cause the firing order to be wrong and you'll get a backfire and the car will run ruff

Video card just gave up or the LCD monitor got problem! If the system is under WARRANTY u may avail that in ur nearest dealer. I suggest to ask for the warranty and check the system if the LCD can only be replace. Hope that might help u out!

• I can tell you though that per Metra, that harness is not compatible with a 2001 Silverado - http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12658_Metra-71-2105.html?gclid=COKl-a_ap6kCFced7Qod61kuEw
• Only the 2009 Silverado is compatible with this harness. As electronics become more better and more desired, more speakers and dual amps etc become installed in vehicles. And they all have to be just so. The wrong harness can be bad as power can be sent up a wire not intended for it. The way the amps and decks have to be wired I suggest getting the proper harness.
• When you get a harness, get one meant for the truck and then work the deck/amp around it. The pin out has to match.

I'm looking for a factory stereo wiring diagram for Delphl Delco part#12240691 GM Part #22723439 The plug is 24 holes but think it's a 16 wires.
