My DeLonghi Alfredo toaster oven XU21 ST suddenly stopped working after baking. What is best troubleshooting to do? I'd like to try to repair it. don't have any electric tools. Thanks.

Sometimes they have a external fuse which is close to where the wire goes in. Or, the element has failed. Do you have a digital multimeter? Both items are easy to test. Or it may have a thermal fuse, again an easy test with a meter. https://www.google.com/search?q=DeLonghi+Alfredo+toaster+oven+XU21+ST+suddenly+stopped+working+after+baking Videos. The make is not important as they all work the same and are all made by the same factory in China. ..

I have a 3-year-old Delonghi toaster oven. It just stopped working. Used infrequently. Looks brand new. Don't know where to start to diagnose problem Looking for suggestions

Check for power. Test the elements. Test the switches. BUT, possibly time for a new one. Or find a DeLonghi service centre. There are expensive enough to warrant repair! https://www.delonghi.com/en-ca/products/kitchen/kitchen-appliances/electric-ovens ..

Delonghi toaster is tripping fuse box. What should we check?

Check that toaster is on the right amperage circuit (15A is standard) and that nothing else is on that circuit at same time. If that is not the problem, then the unit is "toast" and needs to be replaced. Spare parts are not available. slide_toaster_ovens-nelq4qhinul5odf12inlfvjx-4-0_5.jpg

Hi i have a four slice toaster it is only 13 months old but one side does not work please can you help as i think this should last a lot longer as it was not cheap i dont think it is fit for purpose i

Hi, Try to set the toaster to a darker setting. this will make the toast stay down longer. But keep an eye on it as it can burn. As for the other side not working. Unplug it and look carefully at the heat coils. If there is a break in the wire you will have to take it to be repaired. Good luck.

Need to tighten screws holding handle. How do I

We were able to tighten them down. We: unscrewed the handle entirely; removed the little black rubber/plastic screw covers (you won't be able to use these with this fix); held the handle stationary in one hand; used needle-nosed pliers to turn the screw into the handle; then switched out the pliers for some small tweezers as the handle got close to the dooor, and turned the screw with the tweezers. Note that the left-hand side of the handle is reverse threaded. So, you will turn the screw clockwise to screw in on the left; and counter-clockwise to screw in on the right.

I had a house with old funky wiring. I'm pretty

The manual mentions nothing about any user serviceable fuse or reset. "Funky" wiring in your home shouldn't cause an appliance to fail. Wiring that is in poor condition usually results in blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers in the service panel, heat in places it shouldn't happen and of course, fires.

It is very possible that the outlet is worn to the point that it doesn't make very good contact with the toaster's plug and has caused the toaster to fail to heat up. Try removing the toaster to a different outlet and try again. Check the original outlet with another appliance or lamp, etc. to see if it works or not. Also, check to be sure any ground fault outlet hasn't tripped.

If the toaster fails to work as expected in another outlet, there's little you can do to repair without jeopardizing your safety - especially if you're not familiar with appliance repair. These appliances aren't really meant for disassembly - manufacturers don't want to be liable for "repairs" that end with injuries, burns and death so the make them pretty hard to take apart. Even if you are successful, they make even harder to reassemble without it looking obvious that it has been disassembled.

Take it apart if you want - learn about how it works and buy a new one. These devices don't rely on rocket science and the controls are pretty simple - but it is an electrical device and electricity isn't a hobby. Be safe. Be smart.

BTW - I don't want your money - I just don't want you to get hurt.

Goiod luck!

Spring in door

I have the same problem. The end broke off. I heated the end with a torch and bent a new loop (cooled it in cold water). I hope it will work for a while. I could find a replacement on the internet. To get to the spring, just remove the left side panel (3 screws)
