Delonghi DSM7 Stand Mixer won't start after overheating. Is there a reset button?

take it in to an appliance repair shop for a proper diagnosis and quote but it is probably not worth repairing ( armature and brushes )

My DeLonghi DSM800 when running sometimes stop for

I had the same problem and fixed it.
  1. I took it apart, unplug unit, remove the small black cover inside the stand portion, 1 screw. Underneath you will find four screws with a white plastic wire junction.
  2. Loosen two screws and remove the black and brown wires which connect to the control panel with the dial attached.
  3. Remove rear attachment cover, front top cover, and front delonghi cover.
  4. Remove top three screws where the blender attachment goes. Now remove the aluminum cover that covers the entire top.
  5. Slip belt off. Remove three screws with plastic washers that attach motor to chassis.
  6. Remove 2 torx screws that are located next to metal bar that keeps top half from swinging too far from bottom half.
  7. Now you can pull the motor out and the control panel with the dial. Remove the three slip on electrical connections on the control panel and reinstall. Carefully remove the two slip on electrical connections on the motor and reinstall.
  8. Re-assemble and test unit.
I thought I had a problem with the control panel or the motor, as it turns out the connections were the problem. Carefully removing them and reinstalling them solved the problem.

Mixing blades detach while being used

type delonghi in the search bar. Pick a site and yell at them. Kidding, tell them your problem and they should work with you. Get a phone number and call them, get the salesmans name and a time frame you can expect repacements.

NO POWER! -- DeLonghi Stand Mixer 7 qt

There should be a overload breaker on the bottom of the motor, tilt it back and look for a little red (probably) button.  other than that, there shouldn't be anything else... if it doesn't  work, it might be defective... Don't give up hope though, those mixers, (used to be Rival, and made by Kenwood in europe) are *SOO* much better than Kitchenaid, it's not even funny *Grin* and good luck.

How to change the belt in a Bodum electric mixer?

Question moved from Cars and Trucks. Stand Mixers don't normally have belts and I don't believe this one does as I can't find spare belts. They are operated by nylon cogs that run in grease. The most likely reason is the she shear pin has sheared. This is a small pin like a nail that goes through a cog or shaft and shears if too much load is put on the mixer beater or dough hook. It often happens if you make bread and have the speed too high. https://www.google.com/search?q=change+the+belt+in+a+Bodum+electric+mixer ..

Harbinger LP9800 mixer keeps shorting out, what can we do? Its been happening for a few months.

You will need to get a qualified electronics technician to look at it. The issue could be anywhere on the circuit boards inside the mixer. Unless you know what you are doing don't try to repair it yourself as you could make the problem worse.
