Not clear if loss of steam to milk dispenser or milk dispenser itself clogged.

Try descaling again. Try running the vinegar through tbe machine about 1/2. Then stop tbe machine and allow additional time for the vinegar to work.

Also run a clean cycle using vinegar.

Also try disassembling the milk dispenser and clean manually.

Could it perhaps be a limescale indication? If so add descaller and hold start button for 5 seconds.

to me the pipe is blocked there is a tool to use to clean this pipe out, hard deposits in the water can block the steam pipe and the tool is a thin bendy wire that you put up the pipe to clean the pipe line out. i would think they sell this pipe in most out lets for coffee makers. check for coffee steam pipe cleaner.

you have to do Descaling

iuf yuou have the ESAM 4500 YOU CAN FROM THE MILK CONTAINER , if its older model it dose not .

you have to remove the infuser and clean it ,

you have to tern the machine off then to assemble the infuser

These machines do need to be lubricated every so often. First, buy some food safe lubricant, e.g. here. Then, turn the machine off, open the front door, and remove the infuser. There is a holder connected to the machine by two hex screws. You may remove this (or even just leave it on). Now attach a long tube to the lubricant (should come with the can) and spray lubricant on both sides of the vertical screw that moves the infuser up and down. Give it a few good sprays on both sides of the screw, up and down, and that should solve your problem.

Most likely the heating element would have to be changed the water will not come out till it reaches its temperture

I think the microswitch that sensors the front door is not activated. Try to find it and "give it a massage" The machine resets the counter for the grounds container every time the door switch is activated.

I'm not sure about your specific machine, but in general: Make sure you have the correct size and shape filter, measure carefully so as not to overfill, check that the grind is not too fine and plugging the filter. This can cause the filter to overflow and grounds float into the pot.

Here is the link to the instruction manual if you need it; http://www.delonghi.co.uk/pdf_files/EMK6.pdf There is no information regarding this error message available online, but I think you are right and it relates to water - probably the sensor of the water level is stuck/blocked/scaled up. you can try descaling using white vinegar 50/50 solution with water, leave it overnight. Give the whole unit a good shake, in case the level sensor is a mechanical float device and it is stuck. See if any change.
