I need to connect a power cord to a new Dayton motor
Hi. All motors have the wiring schematics either stamped on a metal tag that is attached to the shell. If it is is not there. It will be on a paper tag on the inside of the main wiring cover. Just so you know and to cover myself. All electrical repairs have to be performed by a licensed electrician. Improper installation and handling can cause a fire, damage of property, injury or *****. The wires are labeled L1, L2, L3, L4 and so on. If there isn't a tag you will need to send it out for service. Please let me know if there is anything else. Good Luck.
Dayton 150,000 Btu Heater on Kero. Runs for about
Hi. There isn't a thermostat but there is a thermopile. For safety the system shuts down if while it is running, a flame isn't sensed. The heater is from the 80's. Does it have a lot of hours on it? Make sure there is plenty of fuel, air and fuel filter are ok and no visible fuel leaks. From your symptoms you may have a faulty ignitor or the thermopile may be coated or damaged. Sometimes gently rubbing the scale off the thermopile with fine emery cloth will correct shut down issues. Also fuel flow, fuel pressure and spray pattern is a possible cause. Let me know how you want to proceed or have other questions. Good Luck.
Kerosene heater starts then stops
Hi. Depending on the manufacturers design it may or may not be too high. I wan't to say "Yes" it is too high, it may need to be 3.5 Which model do you have? The starting and stopping could be air from the fuel pick up. A clogged air or fuel filter. The spray tip could be clogged or damaged. The fuel that you noticed running out under the exhaust could be a fuel leak or faulty spray tip. Diagnostics will be needed to know for sure. I hope this helps. Let me know if there is anything else. Good Luck.
Dayton generator model #4W119C high temp cool mode

Fan will not come on unless thermostat is on "fan on". When it's on auto, the fan does not come on
Here is my best shot! I THINK there must be a THERMOSTAT that is defective?
I tried and tried to find a schematic or diagram for your heater without luck.
IF there is a AC connector ~ disconnect it...
Pull your panels off one-at-a-time looking for a DIAGRAM and anything that LOOKS like a thermostat? Hint: It usually has only 2 wires.
I am fairly sure you WILL find one and if so ~ THAT thermostat would be my first suspect! Please let me know how this goes?

I have the Dayton G73
Yes you can move thermostat wherever you want but remember if not placed at a suitable location space may either be too hot or too cold .For example if you put it too close to the heater it will satisfy faster without allowing the whole space to warm up
