you may need to adjust the diverter cartridge on the valve to fix the switch control arm. Here are the steps to do so: Turn off the water supply to the faucet and open the valve to release any residual pressure. Remove the handle by loosening the set screw with an Allen wrench and pulling it off. Unscrew the bonnet nut and remove the diverter cartridge by pulling it out with pliers. Check the O-rings and seals for any damage or wear and replace them if necessary. Align the diverter cartridge with the valve body and push it in firmly until it snaps into place. Screw the bonnet nut back on and tighten it with a wrench. Reattach the handle and secure it with the set screw. Turn on the water supply and test the faucet for proper operation. Either this is a consequence of having a "low-flow" shower head, or the pipes are too small or have too many bends and elbows to support the flow rate required at 65 PSI for such a large shower head. What is the water pressure at the shower head fitting while the shower is running? It won't be 65 PSI, but it shouldn't be below the recommended inlet pressure for the unit.

reassembled the diverter incorrectly

being a new faucet it does that because you still have air in the line. turn the faucet on and let it run for a while, if that doesn't work take it back and get a better quality faucet like a delta, because they make them so cheap that the seal could be loose inside.

you need a new cartridge if its fairly new. if its an older faucet it will have to be replaced, usually the hot water side warps the fixture and it leaks there nothing you can do about it except to replace it.

perhaps you need to replace the cartridge and the stem you can try home depot for parts or a plumbing shop

Is the hot water pressure good at other fixtures in the house? I'm guessing your newer valves have a scolding adjustment that is set very low. Check the instructions that came with the valve assembly.

This is a Moen single lever bathroom faucet. The Cartridge needed is Moen 4000.

Hi, same problem i had faced and that time i didn't have much knowledge about pipe setting or plumbing stuffs.Please check the shower setting connections and make sure the hot water is in active mode or check the internal connection for pipes with faucets.i have given link for more information for showers . http://www.a-general.com

Possible issue with pressure balancing cartidge, When you remove parts, turn off water, remove parts, slowly turn on water and see if brass valves lets water out. If yes pressure balancing cartridge or cartridge itself is defevtive.

make sure that you have installed the right way not upside down or backwoods...pull back out and check the alignment....good luck

Don't try to repair it. Replace it. All hand held showers use 1/2" hose fittings so any brand divertor should fit. Bring the part with you as there are different styles.

try cleaning the inside of the valve with 1500 grit wet sandpaper. and then put a lot of waterproof plumbing grease in there and also on the cartridge. sometimes you can get a build up of hard water inside the valve body and that will cause leaks. just dont over do it with the sandpaper and dont anything more abrasive than 1500 grit.

you need to go to lowes or your nearest plumbing supply store and get a new cartridge and replace...you may also just be able to replace springs and seats if its like a delta...i believe danze is made by delta...ask them for help and they will advise you on parts...good luck...remember to shut water off to home before doing this repair...

lots of these types of handles have a very small allen wrench set screw somewhere under the handle or on the side...loosen set screw and pull off...good luck

The only cause for this is iron pipe being used somewhere in the system. This is commonly found between the drop eared 90 in the wall and the tub spout. Most likely your installer has used an iron pipe nipple at this location. We recommend using a brass nipple to avoid rusty water. you really can not because of the overhead piping holds lots of water and so does this big head....that is just normal for these things...i am a licensed plumber for over 34 years and have done these...its just draining out all the overhead water....
