Model cps130s selection of oven

Hello,

There have been numerous oven control systems used over the years. The following instructions describe various methods that might be employed to correct such a condition.

In almost all cases if the temperature reading is more than 35°F out, some part of the control system will need to be repaired. Usually adjustment will not provide an adequate solution to the condition and may even make it worse.

Before attempting any kind of adjustment on a hydraulic oven control, make sure the thermostat's sensor bulb is properly mounted in the oven cavity and not touching the oven wall or metal rack. The sensor bulbs are held about 1/2" away from the oven wall by a small metal clip.

Dial type control

Some models have the calibration adjustment on the underside of the knob itself. On this type of arrangement, the loosening of the dial plate and moving it one way or the other will change the temperature reading on the dial once reinstalled.

Other control designs have the temperature calibration screw down the center of the shaft. These usually require a special small screwdriver to access it. See below for a link to a detailed calibration method for one brand of oven thermostat.

Electronic Control Calibration

The following procedures are designed to provide an general idea how calibration adjustment of the oven temperature display on many electronically controlled (ERC/EOC) ranges and ovens is done. The actual procedures vary from model to model so check your owner's manual.

If the temperature is out more than 35°F, the oven sensor or the electronic control may need to be replaced to correct the inaccuracy.

General

Press BAKE

Select a temperature of 550

Quickly (within 5-seconds of setting 550) press and hold the BAKE button approximately 5-15† seconds until "00" or the previously entered temperature adjustment is displayed.

†Pressing longer could cause an F0, F1 or F7 error to be displayed.

Press the UP/DOWN arrow button or turn the set knob to change the oven temperature in 5° increments to a maximum of +/- 35°

Press the CLEAR or OFF button to return to normal operation.

Hoping this will help to solve the problem....

Hello.

Please apply the solution this way!

To close an oven door when it's in the locked position and the door is open, press and hold the oven door light switch while following these simple steps:
  • Program the oven to self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Cancel self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
To self-clean your wall oven, follow these simple steps:
  • Remove the oven racks.
  • Set your oven control to "Clean."
  • Select a cleaning time or choose a cleaning level: light, medium or heavy. For typical cleaning needs, we recommend that you select a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium setting.
  • Select "Start." (To set a delayed start, see your Use & Care Guide.)

Note: For safety reasons, the oven door will remain locked until the oven cools down. When it is sufficiently cool, the door will automatically unlock.

Thanks for using fixya.

F3 beeping

Hi

F3 Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My Dacor MRE30S beeps and displays the F1 code. I

F1 error is, as Dacor describes it, a system watchdog circuit used to monitor the bake element relays for a possible failure such as a command to supply heat without receiving an input from the switch membrane. These element relays which are mounted on the ovens relay board turn the L1 and L2 line voltages on and off to the bake element. If either of these relays were to actuate without a key press, the watchdog should catch the operation and display an F1 error...

zjlimited_1654.jpg

Once the error has been displayed, it is cleared with the cancel button, and should no longer occur, but if it does, the recommended repair is to check the ovens main control and replace as needed. Because this error was reoccurring, the control board was the likely candidate for replacement, but the completely intermittent timing of the error seemed to indicate something else in this range was amiss. Looking at the wiring diagram for other components which may be at fault lead me to the front of the range, and the item that was the real reason for these random errors.

The door latch mechanism is used during the self clean cycle to ensure the door remains closed and locked until complete. The latch contains two micro switches used to monitor the position of the latch motor allowing the control board to know the position of the door and latch. What was discovered is one of the switches had been shorting to the frame due to an excess buildup of grease and grime from years of use. This short circuit was being interpreted by the main control as a problem, thus the reason for the F1 error.

Was getting F1 code.

Hi.Lert me just clarify if the panel board you are referring to is the breaker or the circuit breaker. Now you can actually check the terminal end of your unit by removing the back cover.unscrew it and usually it will b e poasitioned vrtically and horizontally. It is located at the upper right back corner of your unit. You can actually check if there was an open circuit or short circuit happened that possibly why your oven is not working well.CHECK FIRST THE CONTINUITY OF THE CIRCUIT unit using a multitester.Unplug first the unit.set the tester to ohms lowest value times 10 multiplier value.now check live wire 1 by 1 .connect 1 end of the tester to a live wire and the other line to the neutral or. ground wire usually a white wire.now check if the testers opointer move or not.If it does not there is an open circuit but if it reached infinite or maximum value then circuit is short-circuited.which means two lines nolonger separated by an insulator probably it was burnt. Now if this is the scenario, you may as well consult it to a technician because they will test each ic on the circuit on the control panel of the unit (not the breaker).hope this idea helps you to figure out what'S happening on your unit.Thank you for bchoosing FIXYA.

Dacor oven display showing F0

The "F0" error code description is a stock function key. Here are basic test that will help you to determine if the ERC or touchpad is defective.

1. Unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker.

2. Gain access inside the control panel.

3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.

4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.

5. Turn the power back on.

6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the code comes back.

7. If F0 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

Hope it helps.

We have a Renaissance Wall

Hi,

This is a common problem on this model and discussed many times by us here and in different forums.

CO1 means you have a shorted touch pad and need to replace it.

In the beginning, you might be able to reset the code by pressing Cancel or by disconnecting the power supply for few minutes. However, that is an indication of touch pad ( or shorted key failure ).

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
