Romy... there are "membrane switches" located behind the front panel. Sometimes they go bad or get dirty and won't work. tactmembrane-switch-o5myk4hhi5b5q5if45zblvzs-4-0.png MOST times these are a SINGLE panel with many switches. Often they are a pain to GET and install... Only the right one will work! switch-o5myk4hhi5b5q5if45zblvzs-4-2.png Anthony

Connecting a sony dvp-sr500h dvd player to sanyo

Here is the quick start guide https://docs.sony.com/release//DVPSR500H_qs_EN_FR_ES.pdf You seem to be using the Video & Audio connection. Start at the Player. Connect cables to YELLOW Video, RED Right Audio WHITE Left Audio Then go to TV and find the YELLOW input RED input and WHITE input. On some TV's they are separate, some combine them with the COMPONENT inputs (Component is 5 cables you will use 3 of them if you only have COMPONENT inputs) Some TV's have an input button on the remote but no on screen selection. Try pressing the input repeatedly to access the other inputs. Lastly you will not get upscaling if you are using the 3 cable hook-up. To get upscaling use an HDMI cable to connect. Be sure to not have both types of cables plugged in at the same time HDMI by itself is best. If you reply with the modelof the sanyo TV I'll try to get you more info.

My Cyberhome DVR 1600 is dead.

If it is powering up it is NOT the power supply that is at fault. If the door won't open it is likely the belt that moves the tray. Unplug the unit and remove the screws holding the case shut. On the left side you will see a metal plate that is the top hold down for the DVDs. Remove the four screws and pull up on the plate. There will be some resistance as the top spinner is held in place to the spindle by a magnet. Plug in the unit but DO NOT touch anything on the right side where the power comes in! Power on the unit and hit the eject button. If the tray slides out now you are partly in luck. With the tray ejected unplug the power. Partially push in the tray and look along the front. You will see a small pulley (motor) and a large pulley. There will be a "rubber band" looking drive belt there. Likely that drive belt is dry rotted. Getting one is the trick. I'd suggest rescuing one from an old CD/DVD drive from a computer.

Remote code

Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check by pressing all the buttons on it; and see whether all of it generates infrared signal while pressing. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Pull up older posts. If the remote control is found OK; check and replace the infra-red sensor inside the TV. I no longer have the manual for the product and I

The white, yellow, and red RCA phono jacks on the back are called VGA inputs and outputs. The Red is right channel audio, The white is for left channel audio. The yellow is the video. Look carefully on the back of the unit and the input jacks and output jacks should be clearly marked. There are several other input/output ports. One is HDMI which is flat and wide. Another, not common, is composite video which uses the three above mentioned RCA jacks as indicated plus two more colored jacks. This combination gives a better picture. A third option is a screwed on cable for input and output. This is called a "F" connector and is only used if the receiver equipment has a built in tuner. The output of a cable box is usually an "F" connector and the above described outputs If you connect the cable box to the DVD player input and the DVD player output to the TV input, you often must have the DVD player turned on so the signal will feed to the TV. If the TV has multiple inputs, it is best to connect the cable box to one of the TV inputs and the DVD player to another TV input. Using the TV remote you can chose which input you want to watch. The remote should have a button labeled "input"

The TV will not power on with remote or manual button

Have you had any major power outages in the days leading up to this issue? It could be a power source, cable or outlet. Try different outlets if you can and see the tv responds. Best of luck, Al

Ge remote control, I have lost manual for the codes and I need code for a cyberhome CH DVD 300 remote model number is 27985 CL3 31601 could you please send me those codes to my DVD player thank you

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Programming Notes • If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote. • Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality. This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; to which you want set-up codes; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window" to get gathered related posts.

I lost my remote to my CyberHome CH-DVD 300 plus it's in Progressive Mode, what can I do ?

Without a remote control, you can't select anything with this set. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have. Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the sites. http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some on-line sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

Screen says INSERT DISC after I have put the DVD in. What's wrong?

1. Incomplete disc information or scratched disc. This is the main reason for the issue. Before you try anything to examine or fix your DVD player, it's suggested that you make sure the disc you are trying to play is intact and well. If it's the problem of your disc, then trying to fix your DVD player does not help at all. In this case, you can copy the scratched DVD disc and then you may play it on your player machine. 2. The disc is incorrectly formatted. A common DVD disc or Blu-ray disc is formatted in various ways. You can find different DVD or Blu-ray disc types in the market, such as DVD-RW, DVD-R and 4K Blu-ray disc and so on if the disc is not formatted correctly in accordance with the player, then it will not be detected. You can use some software tools to correctly format your DVD disc. 3. The glitch of the DVD laser lens. Most of the DVD "No disc" problems are caused by the glitch of DVD laser lens. The cleaning DVD laser lens is not easy and requires patience and carefulness. You can start out by trying to blow away the dust if that doesn't work, you can try using a DVD cleaning disc.

Yes it will play on it's side after the disc has been clamped in the player. If the disc tray is not designed to be upright then the disc will fall out when you open the tray
