How to manually open eject Crosley CR248 CD drawer

  1. Uh, I think you already have a solution but the following may help someone else.
  2. Ensure that the device is powered on.
  3. Press the "Function" button (28/58) to set the unit to CD mode.
  4. Press the "Open/Close" button (19/48) to open the CD drawer.
  5. Insert a CD into the tray with the label side facing up.
  6. Press the "Open/Close" button again to close the CD drawer.
If the above steps don't work, you can try the following:
  1. Unplug the device from the power outlet.
  2. Wait for a few minutes.
  3. Plug the device back in.
  4. Press the "Open/Close" button to see if the CD drawer opens.
If the drawer still doesn't open, there might be a mechanical issue with the device. Look for the Fixya advise referred to above. If if that doesn't work, in that case, it's best to contact Crosley's customer support for further assistance.

I have a Crosley CR80 gold series 4-1 record player and the records won't spin

Turn the arm that holds the element and needle careful to the far right and the turntable will spin. This is a safety feature for protecting the needle.

Crosley cr1704a-wm full size led jukebox

This is an internal circuit switching failure that requires a Crosley servicer to repair. You may have difficulty finding one because Crosley is just a brand name attached to equipment manufactured offshore.

How to adjust speed the record player back to normal on top my Crosley McQueen stereo?

It sounds like the belt driving the unit might be out of place or connected wrong. It could be the belt is slipping caused by wear and thus needs replacing.

I have a Crosley CR66 that won't power on at all (nothing works), anyone else have this same problem and know of a fix?

Check The line in switch in the back. If not using the auxiliary input, make sure the line-in switch, located on the back of the system near the auxiliary cable, is in the off position.

Crosley CR704D Musician Turntable won't open. The lid is just jammed shut. Am I missing something?

There is no locking mechanism...you may have to pry it, but you are on your own! This is totally up to you as there could be any number of reasons why it is stuck...No responsibility on my end...

No sound from Crosley Director

I am wondering if you were ever successful in getting any sound? My unit is doing the same thing, but it has been since I plugged my phone in the line-in jack. Everything is powered, but no sound and I called Crosley and it is a discontinued model. There is no phono/line switch and if there was, I believe my problem would be solved. Thank you, if you get this and answer what your results were!

The soldering has come loose from the piece where the power adapter plugs into the port. the piece itself looks pretty done, does anyone know where i can find a suitable replacement part?

The unit uses a DC JACK SOCKET, which is the part you are describing. Remove the DC socket, by unsoldering. You may need a reel of desoldering braid or a spring-loaded 'solder-sucker' syringe to make life easier. Then take the DC socket in to your nearest electronics component supplier (eg Radio Shack) as a sample. Pins of old & new must match exactly, and built-in switched contacts, if any. When re-soldering new socket, use minimum solder and heat - just enough to flow the solder onto new pins. Double check for unwanted shorts between pins and track pads, all solder points good (no dry joints), then re-assemble. Now plug DC JACK PLUG back into unit, and Bob's your aunty.

TURNTABLE DOES NOT WORK FOR CROSLEY CR 78CD

It could be that the switch has either broken, become obstructed, or has moved out of place. If the unit is NOT under warranty, then you could access the deck from underneath to check on the switch. If it is under warranty then contact Crosley. Do NOT attempt to repair it yourself.
