if the washer is getting power and the display board is not lighting up, then the display board may need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the part seems to be backordered straight from the factory. You may want to contact Crosley customer support for further assistance.
Uh, I think you already have a solution but the following may help someone else.
Ensure that the device is powered on.
Press the "Function" button (28/58) to set the unit to CD mode.
Press the "Open/Close" button (19/48) to open the CD drawer.
Insert a CD into the tray with the label side facing up.
Press the "Open/Close" button again to close the CD drawer.
If the above steps don't work, you can try the following:
Unplug the device from the power outlet.
Wait for a few minutes.
Plug the device back in.
Press the "Open/Close" button to see if the CD drawer opens.
If the drawer still doesn't open, there might be a mechanical issue with the device. Look for the Fixya advise referred to above. If if that doesn't work, in that case, it's best to contact Crosley's customer support for further assistance.
Question edited for clarity. 'field cycle' to fill cycle.
Do you hear water running? Water inlet valve failed.
or
Taking too long to fill. Check the strainers in the rear where the hose connects and check water flow from the hose.
Also try a power disconnect overnight to do a power reset of the control board.
=============================================
If the cold water supply is slow or not entering the tub at all, the washer will stop ahead of the rinse cycle while waiting for the tub to fill. This can be caused by a clogged water inlet valve, the main water supply valve being partially closed, or low water supply pressure from the home.
Turn the arm that holds the element and needle careful to the far right and the turntable will spin. This is a safety feature for protecting the needle.
This is an internal circuit switching failure that requires a Crosley servicer to repair. You may have difficulty finding one because Crosley is just a brand name attached to equipment manufactured offshore.
I recently was given my Father's CR78CD and, assuming your unit is in working order, you turn on the turntable motor by lifting the tonearm off the post and moving it away from the turntable about one and a half to two inches. You should hear a soft click as the switch for the motor activates.
There could be several reasons why your Crosley washing machine is not spinning properly during a regular cycle. Here are some possible causes:
Unbalanced load: If the load of laundry is not evenly distributed in the drum, it can cause the machine to become unbalanced and not spin properly. Try rearranging the clothes and see if that helps.
Drive belt: The drive belt may be worn, loose or broken, preventing the machine from spinning. Check the belt and replace if necessary.
Motor coupling: The motor coupling connects the motor to the transmission. If it is broken or worn out, the machine may not spin. Inspect the coupling and replace it if necessary.
Lid switch: The lid switch prevents the machine from spinning if the lid is open. If the switch is faulty, the machine may not spin. Test the switch for continuity and replace it if necessary.
Motor: If the motor is faulty or burned out, the machine may not spin. Test the motor for continuity and replace it if necessary.
If you are unsure of how to check or replace any of these parts, it is recommended to consult a qualified technician.
i think theres a problem with the motor control board because of no proper operation or turning it off suddenly. Just try to shut down your breaker and if theres a reset button on your machine press it might help.
