Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Cars and Trucks. Take it to a local engineering shop. They will have thread gauges and a Vernier gauge. Probably UNF https://www.google.com/search?q=unf+thread+chart https://www.google.com/search?q=Mastercraft+55-4507-2+parts ..

General International Maxi VS+ wood lathe wiring schematic please?

Question moved from Cars and Trucks category. Here is the manual, but there is no wiring schematic in it. If the company is still in business, the contact details are on the last page. I would wire it direct so it only turns towards the tool rest. https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfimages/4a/4a69d367-a64f-4a5b-ac48-5c74d9d697b7.pdf https://www.google.com/search?q=General+International+Maxi+VS%2B+wood+lathe+wiring+schematic ..

I purchased a 320.27683 router and table. I am using craftsman 1/4 in bits. The 1/4 in collet nut will not tighten the bit . The bit just pulls right out. I left 1/8 space between the bottom of bit.

Take the collet fully apart and clean out all sawdust and other debris. Does this happen on all i/4 shank bits? use only quality bits preferably American bits. I use Whiteside and Amana, Cmt is a good bit. If it does not hold any 1/4 bit replace collet. To my knowledge Sears has never made a router, they just sell them. It's possible it was a Skill, a Black and Decker, or some other common brand with a few specs that Sears had them made with (good luck with that). Check router forum.com other people have looked for collets, there is many suggestion or answers. t site has them, but it does not specify 1/4 or 1/2 OEM Craftsman Router Collet Asy 2823121000 Ships Today Fix com

How do I change the belt on a Craftsman 3"x21" belt sander, model 31522580? This one is pretty old but still works. I couldn't find a manual anywhere for it.

First, I'm not a Sears Tech (ahh, not Lowe's either.) * Sears Parts; https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/31522580/0247/0743000.html?searchType=modelSearch&q=31522580&searchTerm=31522580 * You can also look at the old belt and get the numbers off them. Check on Amazon.com for replacements. Aloha, ukeboy57

Adjusting tension on sanding belt Craftsman Mod 113-225831. Can't tell exactly where to adjust the tension to keep sanding belt from traveling inward.

it is not tension you adjust but parallel running of the front pulley normally there is a knob along the arm that you can move in or out carefully and you will see the belt run back to covering the pulley best do it when you spin the belt by hand as the adjustment is touchy

I have an OLD craftsman 1 hp router that I haven't

It is supposed to be self extracting, meaning that if you turn the nut far enough, the bit will pop up; no need to remove the nut. If the bit is stuck, try to pull it out with pliers. You may even need penetrating oil. Probably just rust; there is not much that go wrong. Good luck. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/bill_f6ca18ca1db028ed

How do you put sandpaper on a Craftsman 1/4 sheet sander?

If you have the sander that is in the picture (and I surely do hope that you do), I can help you. Your sanding felt pad is square, and two of the sides, opposite each other, have a wire spring clip on them. You lift the clip and rotate it and then you will have a opening under each of the spring clips to insert an edge of the sandpaper. Cut the sandpaper to 3/4ths of an inch longer than the pad on both sides that are to slide inside the spring clips. Insert one edge of the paper under one side, then snap the clip down in place. Then, curl the edge of the other side of the paper with your fingers to fit under the other edge, and then snap that one down on the paper. Good to go. God bless your efforts.
