What I guess from your post is that you have forgotten the WEP key and now you want that.
Its not possible to recover the WEP key so easily.
If there is another user using the same wireless and WEP , you can ask him the key.
If you are the lone user then i recomend you to reset the WEP on the wireless router by completely reseting the config.
But be aware that you will loose all the config on the wireless router, so please get a call logged with the support team.

Need a bit more background on this. Did you just go out and buy this device and hook it up to the phone line ? Are you using ADSL line Filters ? Did you ring your internet service provider to guide you through setting up the account settings in the modem ? How are you connecting to the device to your P.C ?

Usually its just an extra Ethernet cable they give you in case you don't have one.

Most routers are the same. admin/admin or admin and no password.

Try resting it by holding the rest button in for 30 seconds.

If internet light is off, its not connected to the net. Check all connections. If OK try pressing and holding the rest button for 30 seconds.

Check on the router itself. Some ISPs have a pre-determined WPA password encoded into the router when delivered to the customer. It may be on a label affixed to the unit. Otherwise, you may have to log into the router itself (if your ISP allows this) and change the password to something you can then use for all your devices.

Thunderstorms can ruin modems, routers, switches etc. Check for a reset button on the back or bottom of each. You need a paper clip to press the button down.
