You don't say which version of windows you use.

This is a serious fault. You either have a hardware fault (hard drive, memory or graphics card), a corruption of windows or a virus infection.

If you can, use your cellphone to take a close up full frame picture of the Blue screen so you can read it carefully all the way through to see advice on what the fault might be and some recommendations on how to fix it.

First you must back up any important data you have on the computer.

If you know how to remove the hard drive, (unscrew small cover underneath with CDs icon next to it, then unscrew hard drive bracket containing hard drive and lift both up carefully) you should unscrew the bracket holding the hard drive and then insert the hard drive into an empty hard drive enclosure. connect the enclosure to another computer and back up all important documents, pictures, music, spreadsheets, designs, favourites, contacts etc.

Then put the hard drive back in the computer as before and use a Windows XP, Vista or 7 Tablet Edition CD or DVD to boot from the disc instead of the hard drive by tapping the F12, F11 or F10 function key a few times at the beginning of the boot and then attempting a Repair Installation of Windows.

Then restart, remove the CD or DVD and hopefully it will boot successfully.

Whenyou connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED lightup? If not then - The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's powersocket could be faulty. Check power adapter's DCplug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltageshould be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on thebottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that isprinted on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK thenconnect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/batterycharging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's powersocket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position thisLED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a drysolder joint where it is connected to the motherboard. This can be repaired but itrequires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket andrepair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

You must get the driver from www.hp.com with the description of your operating system.

Have you tried putting in another memory card? Because it would appear that there is something wrong with your memory card. Try to use another card and see if this changes anything. If it does, then your memory card is faulty.

If you have some important data in your memory card then I suggest you contact a data recovery company.

Do you mean how can you install a fresh copy of an Operating System (OS)? Hmmmm, that would require one to have all files deleted since you have to format the disk. If you haven't tried installing an OS, I'll suggest have somebody do it for you.
But not all virus are irreversable. Try to run COMBOFIX, you can find it here including instructions. If this doesn't work, you may really need a Reformatting of your OS.

it is an uncommon problem, but I think I know whats wrong with it, there is damage to the sensor on the scratch pad or possibly even dust in the membrane. its not a case of software fix, it would need a new sensor pad. I would return it to the refurbisher if I was you.

You want to enable PXE boot. It is generally an option under the Network interface card (NIC). this will force the boot from usb key

This is usually indicative of your hard drive failing or the connection has come adrift.

The operating system, is usually windows, normally loaded on a pc when purchased. If you've purchased second hand, one of the usual practices is to remove the hard drive (and operating system) to protect personal data.

If there is a hard drive in place, you can buy a copy of windows, a friend may lend you a copy, but you will also need a code of authority (6 groups of 5 characters)to install it properly.

Alternatively you can get or download a "Linux" based operating system such as Ubuntu for free.

I would reinstall it as per the instructions from HP. as there may be drivers missing.

Login With the Administrator Account in Windows XP Professional

Click the "Start" menu and then click "Log Off."

Click "Switch User" when the prompt screen opens.

Press "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete."

Click on "Administrator" when the "Log on to Windows" screen pops up. Type in the administrator password, if applicable.

Click "OK." You will now be logged in as the administrator.

Log On as An Administrator in Windows Vista

Start your computer and allow it to continue through its startup process. By default your computer will simply load directly to the primary user account (usually the administrator account), but if there are multiple users on the system it will load to the account login screen.

Use the mouse to click on the administrator account from the list of available accounts to log on. This step is only necessary if you've customized Windows Vista with more than one account or you have set the operating system to load the login screen first.

Enter the password required in the password field to log on to the administrator account.

Click the "OK" or "Log On" button once you have entered the password. This button may be labeled differently depending on the version of Windows Vista or any GUI (graphical user interface) changes you may have made.
Log on as an administrator from within the Windows Vista environment by clicking on "Start" and then "Log Off." As soon as you have logged off, you will be returned to the login screen where you can choose the administrator account from the available list.

Well, you will have to try harder to remember it. Failing that, you will need to take it to an HP certified Service Center to have the password erased.

It usually already on. You just need an application that supports webcams. Try Skype or Chatroulette.
