Need more detail! Is all you get, a black screen? Does it go so far into booting then go black screen? Does the hard-drive light flash for more than 10 seconds after switching on. A detailed description of what happens (or doesn't happen, that you would expect to) from the moment you press the power button is needed to be able to diagnose. Your description is like someone going to a garage and saying "it doesn't drive"

With the power off turn on the laptop and press the "F10" key to enter setup(BIOS)

Either the hard drive is bad and needs to be replaced, or the operating system has corrupted and simply needs to be re-installed. HP's usually have a DFS test in the BIOS menu to see if your hard drive is faulty.

Look for HP wireless assistant. Download it from HP at the page pertaining to your computer. On my Tx2623 there is a switch to the right, front edge.

According to the following link...looks like you would have to find/get a Docking Bay to hook up an External CD/DVD ROM in order to have a better chance of putting a operating system back on it.

Please repost this with more information on what your problem is. At this point, we have no idea what your problem is, it just says "Pen and touch screen".

Hey Judith, I have had a similar problem with my wife's Dell laptop. Unfortunately, the only solution was to replace the battery. Laptop batteries do not last forever. Did you notice that it was staying charged less? If so, that is the case. You can pick up a battery at Amazon.com. Here is a link to what you are looking for. Hope that helps!

this is not possible unless it is one of two models. the first model you can take out the internal clock battery and reset the cmos. the other wont work at all and would need a new bios chip installed but this is only at the factory and a pain. good luck on either.

The start menu is activated by clicking a globe (sphere) at the bottom of the screen on the left side. The globe contains the 4 Windows colors. If for some reason you cannot find it, you can still press the Windows key located between the ALT and the Fn key, on the left of the keyboard.

Windows 7 installs the correct drivers but if you are looking for drivers to enable cards larger than 1GB SD card, you cannot. This is a hardware limitation in the "4in1" card reader.

Your bluetooth and Wireless Lan is not working because Windows 7 is not compatible with this devices. And unfortunately, you cannot find any drivers for your tablet PC that is compatible with windows 7.

So I suggest that you change your Operating System so that your Bluetooth and Wireless Lan will work perfectly..
