try reinstalling the software on your PC if doesnt work you might have a problem with the printers memory

Go to the HP website (I believe HP bought Compaq). Under support, go to downloads or drivers. Do a search on your model. You should be able to d/l the driver for the printer.

it does,i find out what version of windows your using start/Control Panel\System and Security\System

see if its a 32 bit or a 64 bit system,go to compaqs website,go to support
and search for your printers name

then go get drivers

select your windows version and install it

restart with your printer plugged in and off you go

if you are outside of Australia the ink tanks should be named the same just a different price so for the BLACK INK its a
Lexmark No 16 Black Ink Cartridge 10N0016
and for the colour ink its a
Lexmark No 26 Colour Ink Cartridge 10N0026

The answer is YES. The printer is compatible with the PC you are purchasing. The printer box comes along with Software disk for printer to be installed on WIN XP, VISTA and Windows 7.

There should not be any compatibility problems.

HP bought Compaq a few years ago and apparently stopped supporting that printer after Win XP. There is no driver for vista. you may want to try the drivers for Win 2000 as Vista has similar code as Win 2000, and some of those drivers work in Vista. see:

This link shows 12G1826 as the part number for the AC Adapter for this printer. A Google search shows this is for a Lexmark printer so..... the IJ750 maybe a OEM branded Lexmark.....
They also the best price I found so far.

Clean and very lightly lubricate the tracks and guides that the heads run on. Make sure that the belt and gears are clean and completely free of any oil or ink etc.

Compaq printers are manufactured by Hp and support is available at the Hp site.

Is this the correct Model number? I looked it up and it doesn't seems to match the database. It doesn't matter if it's up or down. Experiment with the front or back. Once you get the correct placement - then you're good to go.
