I think you battery need to be replace. If your UPS is runing fine before the blackout. Then it should be battery problem

its not a error, your computer is just slow, try using vlc media player to play a dvd and tell me if it plays better

I had the same problem on my CQ60. HP battery test showed one or more cells not working. After spending about 2 hours talking to some guy in India,or somewhere, he came to the conclusion that my battery was bad. HP sent me a new battery, which fixed the problem.

There are a number of reasons why a computer will bluescreen. You'll likely need to take the unit in to a qualified technician to get it fixed.

let me guess lost the PC it came with>????? other shoe drops.? let me guess need use those custom keys and don't know how. well you need that PC it was sold with. lost? this, even HP and Google can't find it, why mess with PCs this old? with PS2 cable end, why use that? and it will not work on non Compaq PC as PS2 is unique to each maker. no PC even told just found in a garage sale, for 10cents.

57-100 57-200, 57-300 or 400? there are 4 versions. to what device? unstated and matters big time. BT head phones? first is , it must have Bluetooth, most didn't then. it was an option, then. (in fact many options) most times its part of the wifi card inside.(and was) or it did work before today (I lost)? means that? then the HP Compaq driver is missing for it. HP has it , if you download it. the #1 cause of Bluetooth software driver failure is upgrading the unstated OS and there is no driver for that OS. try to use nero or roxio to burn your disk

You can play a DVD movie disc on your DVD player provided the Region code on the disc is the same as the Region code that is configured on the DVD player.
To play DVDs from any region the player needs to be a region free player or youneed to install a region free program on your notebook/computer.

You only can change this setting 5 times, then it is locked. You can not change the Region code after this even if you reinstall Windows, or move the drive to another computer. You can try upgrading the Firmware for the drive from the Compaq / HP Support page for your product. If that does not work, you will need to replace the drive, or download and install a Region Free software like AnyDVD or DVD Region Killer.

I had the same problem, to solve it I repeat the installation and when the message "Setup was unable to create the program folder" I went to installation directory "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio" and I made a copy of the whole directory to another location in my hard drive. Then I back to installation screen and I accepted the message box. As it was expected original installation folder disappeared. I restored installation folder from the copy I had made previously. At last I created a short cut to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Common\MSDEV98\BIN\DFDEV.EXE" and started Visual Fortran from this shell without any problem.
