hi normally these steames are pretty good , you have replaced all the parts that can go wrong but you have over looked the combustion side of it , and of course after so many attempt it fires up but it because by now the combustion chamber is quite warm and full of gas that it will start even with small amount of compression . suggest check the compression if compression if it ok check fuel mixture /fuel filter / fuel solenoid switch

The problem is it is over fillin.It could be dirty probes for the water level or the water fill valve could be stickin.

You did not post the info on the item. Many things that heat water to a boiling point have this problem as they age. The reason is due to pitting of the heater unit or accumulation of scale and mineral deposits. This causes hot spots in the boiler and you hear the steam pockets expanding

Check the flame control if any.
The pressure is coming up or not?

Call a repair shop and get it fixed.

adjust the gap to around 185m this is about the width of a nickel coin, dime is normally good for lining.

the gap is the point when you pull down the amature bar, you see the gap between the contact screw,and the front spring, you undo the screw, and put a pound coin in on top of the front spring), with the amature bar pulled down, and ajust the screw until it touches the top of the coin, tighten contact screw, and remove coin, gap set..

The correct cleveland part # for your valve is 22221. If you have the correct valve there should be no extra ports. The steamer will flush itself when you turn it on, and periodically if there is the optional blow down timer installed. Hope this helps
