Your connection to your router is more than likely as noted good. The problem is that your router isn't connected properly to your internet modem.
If you are paying for internet service through your cable television type provider, they will come install a modem. From this modem, you can hard-wire your router to the modem using an Ethernet cord. After all of this is done... the CD that came with the router or the instructions to set it up will allow you to finalize the router and connection specific details.
