That is totally up to you and your comfort level. IF the purchase price is reasonable (you can find plenty of pricing by online searches) and you like the vehicle, then take it to the next step. Since you are not mechanically inclined, take a mechanic with you who can inspect the car bumper to bumper and point out any inconsistencies or potential mechanical issues.
I hope this helps!

you need more lead in your fuel ! that's probably because it`s an old car it ran on much richer fuel than the unleaded that we have today ! if you want ....,turn the key off while its in drive , and it'll go right off , and then put it in park.... that way you'll save the clang and you can also purchase trick fuel ! i have a 64 Dodge Dart , i had same problem at one time . Phillip 76 stations carry trick fuel.

The resister in the new key must match the resistance originally set in the car. Take your original key to an auto-locksmith and have them read the resistance pellet in the key and use a blank with the same resistance to cut a copy of your new key. Even in 1992 the vehicle anti-theft system prevents people from using keys that turn the swiitch and not matching the resistance.

No vehicle will work without a cat

Federal Laws require they be there &
at 92% efficiency, have to be replaced

Won't store oxygen & won't have any
fuel control or proper O2 Sensor Voltages

Converter last 12 to 14 years

So the vehicle has had many problems over
the years not picked up on

No Lemons-- just never do any Preventative Maintenance
or ignore obd 2 dash fault lights
