How can I tell if the cooler has gone bad

Most power steering pump's fluid doesn't run thru your cooler, there is a transmission cooler in front of your radiator or built into you radiator. If there was a leak there you'd see it under the truck around the transmission lines.. or around the metal lines than run into your cooler/ radiator.

Have a 1999,Chevy Tahoe that I changed the fuel pressure regulator. After I started loud knock. Why?

As silly as this may sound.....Be sure you have new oil in the crank case. I just brought my Chevrolet pickup home from the shop for a knocking noise. The oil broke down to the point that little compression was the problem. An oil change did work.

I have 1999 Chevy Tahoe. 5.7 liter. Changed the fuel pressure regulator and started it knocked loud. I accounted for every but and bolt and nothing got into the intake. What could it be?

Trace your steps, if it wasnt doing it before hand and is doing it after your repair then its something that the repair caused. Check your spark plug wires to make sure they didn't get swapped, and if need be pull each plug and get a pin camera and check each cylinder for debris

Gas gauge reads empty or full nothing inbetween jumps from one to the other. I want to know if its the gauge, sending unit, or wiring short

check for shorted wires right where the wires connect to the tank. Dirt and water pile up there and corrode the whole works. Otherwise it will be the sending unit inside the tank.

FLASHING LIGHT SAY CHECK ENGINE SOON

If you can limp this to an OReilly auto parts they will hook it up to a computer diagnostic for free and tell you what the codes are saying. A mechanic will charge you about 50 to 80 bucks but will have a better diagnostic as to what is wrong with it.

Keep blowing the 40 amp fuse and turns on the check engine light. The p0411 code keeps coming on when fuse blows

I would be willing to bet the bearings are shot in the air pump so it's drawing more then 40 amps needing to work harder, once you pop the fuse there is no air flowing that's why you get the light and code

Fan pulley wobble

If you can wobble the pulley by hand at any angle, it needs replacement. Check the other pulleys and the idler for wear as well.
