The speedometer is at 10 mph when we start it. If we turn it off and click the key a few times to acc it will return to 0.

Check for a loose wire to the ignition switch and if not you may want to change the ignition switch as one of the tumbles maybe out of position part of the time.

Can a bad back up switch blow fuse ever time I put in reverse its a 5 speed manual

Yes, it could. Also, If I had the problem, here is how I would proceeded. 1) Replace fuse. 2) Have someone go to the rear of the vehicle and observe the back-up lights whilst you start the vehicle and put it in reverse. Question. Did the back up lights come on? Were they bright and the same brightness each? Did either one help you know the problem? 3) Remove the back up light bulbs and go through the same drill with the "start the car & shift to reverse". 4) If the fuse does not blow, suspect a short in the light bulb socket. 5) If the back up fuse blows again, suspect a short in the wiring going to the socket. ( Perhaps a pinched wire from a fender-bender?) God bless your efforts.

Overheating of car

HII, NOTE: To avoid burns and injury, never, ever attempt to remove a radiator cap while the engine is hot! An overheated engine can be caused by anything that decreases the cooling system's ability to absorb, transport and dissipate heat; therefore engines can overheat for a variety of reasons. Let's take a look at some of the most common causes.Cooling System LeaksThis is the primary cause of engine overheating. Possible leak points include hoses, the radiator, water pump, thermostat housing, heater core, head gasket, freeze plugs, automatic transmission oil cooler, cylinder heads and block. Perform a pressure test. A leak-free system should hold pressure for at least one minute.Wrong Coolant ConcentrationBe sure to use the coolant recommended by your vehicle's manufacturer. The wrong type of coolant and/or mixing the incorrect concentration of coolant and distilled water can also result in engine overheating. The best bet is to perform a complete flush and fill.Bad ThermostatA thermostat is a heat-sensitive valve that opens and closes in response to engine temperature. Heated engine coolant passes through to the radiator when the thermostat is in the open position. In the closed position, it prevents the flow of coolant to speed up the warming of a cold engine. When the thermostat gets stuck in the closed position, coolant stays in the engine and quickly becomes overheated, resulting in engine overheating.Blocked Coolant PassagewaysRust, dirt and sediment can all block or greatly impede the flow of coolant through the cooling system. This can limit the system's ability to control engine temperature, which may result in higher operating temperatures and engine overheating. Once again, a flush and fill is recommended to remove debris.Faulty RadiatorBy passing through a series of tubes and fins, coolant temperature is reduced in the radiator. Leaks and clogging are some of the most common causes of radiator failure. Any disruption in the radiator's function can lead to elevated engine temperature and overheating.Worn/Burst HosesA hose that contains visual cracks or holes, or has burst will result in leaks and disrupt the flow of engine coolant. This can result in overheating.Bad Radiator FanA fan blows air across the radiator fins to assist in reducing the temperature of the coolant. A fan that wobbles, spins freely when the engine is off, or has broken shrouds will not be able to reduce the temperature to proper level, thus possibly resulting in engine overheating.Loose or Broken BeltA belt is often the driving link that turns the water pump at the correct speed for proper coolant flow through the cooling system. If a belt is loose or broken, it cannot maintain the proper speed, thus resulting in poor coolant flow and ultimately, engine overheating.Faulty Water PumpKnown as the 'heart' of the cooling system, the water pump is responsible for pressurizing and propelling engine coolant through the cooling system. Any malfunction of the water pump, including eroded impeller vanes, seepage or wobble in the pump shaft, can prevent adequate coolant flow and result in engine overheating.ALSO IN THIS SECTION:HOW A COOLING SYSTEM WORKSSYSTEM MAINTENANCE & RED FLAGSCOMMON CAUSES OF OVERHEATING

How do I fix my automatic transmission that keeps redlining and wont go passed 50 ?

You need to put a scanner on the truck and read the code, it may not be your transmission. It sounds like it may be in limp home mode and therefore, it won't go over 50.

Battery is disconnected and keys won't open doors or trunk. Help!!!

Is the battery completely disconnected, and you closed the hood? Or, did you replace the battery, and now the key fobs don't work? If it is the SECOND scenario, if you change the battery you will have to resynchronize the fobs. Stand next to the vehicle and press the lock and unlock buttons on the fob at the same time and hold for 7 seconds. That should synchcronize the fobs to the car again.. But seriously, can't you just use your key to unlock the drivers door to get in, then unlatch the hood? If your car has keyless entry (I have never, and will never own a GM vehicle) and you have NO keys to open the doors, and the doors are locked because there is no battery installed to unlock them, you have two choices I can think of (legal ones). 1 Call a professional locksmith. (that deals with automobiles) Many insurance companies cover this as part of your policy. 2. Call the police and ask for help. They usually carry a jimmy tool and if you are very very nice to them they MAY open it for you if you can first prove you own the vehicle.. (they are NOT required to help) 3. Bust out a window, open the door, pop the hood, install a new battery, synchronize the key fobs, test the door locks to make sure they work, then call the dealership to replace the window you broke.. (unless you know a good shade-tree mechanic, and can get a replacement window from a salvage yard.

Why is red airbag light staying on in my 2006 Chevy express cargo van.

Your passenger airbag is disabled. It can either be from manually being disabled, from a short in the wiring, or from a blown fuse.

No gas at all wont start chevys10 pickup replaced fuel pump ran for a month stopped running

Can you spray fuel into the engine and get it to run, if so you may have a plugged fuel filter. If not you may have a partially plugged catalytic converter. If you have a o2 sensor ahead of the cat. take it out and see if the engine will run. If the cat is plugged in the exhaust it will put back pressure on the engine and not allow the fuel into the cylinders to fire the engine. Hope this helps.

Whatis the codefor p0302 where isit at in the engine

It means that the number two cylinder misfired, you can disconnect the negative battery cable and wait a couple minutes and reconnect and that will clear the computer and should make check engine light turn off..a misfire can be a one time occurance, bbut if you reset the computer and drive a few days and the code appears again then there is a problem with the firing on the number two cylinder. With it being an 04 model, I would check the spark plugs first and also the plug wires. If the wires are original they most likely need replacement. If the vehicle is not running rough then the plugs and or plug wires is the most likely cause of the code. If you have any other questions please let me know.
