I have a century quick fix wire feed 117-034-901 can I hook up gas to it? Does it require gas? When welding it pits a little and I see a brass nipple on the lead where the gas might connect.

Metallic inert gas or mig welding for short - unless using flux cored welding wire, an inert gas is an essential part of the welding process. The torch and tube assembly usually consists of a welding cable to carry the welding current to the wire tip of the torch, a wire liner through which the welding wire is delivered and a nylon tube through which the gas is delivered and a return wire from the trigger. The whole is encased in a single heavy duty tube. I suppose the nipple could be the gas inlet - why not try it and see...

If you have the plastic pieces you ca use a product called Bondic to attach them together again. You can find many videos on their YouTube channel YouTube.com/tombondic showing you the technique

A simple method for determining a value for an item is to check ebay completed listings. The completed listing will show the asking prices for items that did not sell and actual sales. With the information from ebay and a few calls to local pawn shops, you can determine a good sales price. Ebay prices will tend to be lower than pawn shop prices. An average of the two will be a good value. Good selling.
