It is normal for astro telescopes to show an inverted image. It may seem odd but this is the case. It does not matter when viewing stars, but occasionally it is a problem eg for lunar viewing. Wait what? You just have to remove the front bracket for the alt screw and you can go lower than 30 degrees.
