I haven't seen an 8000 with a super board. I thought they were a thing of the past but it looks like they have brought them back. If you want to use it as a standalone machine, it will depend upon whether the firmware has been changed when the super board went in. Sometimes the machine cannot be used in any other configuration without a dealer removing the super board and re-flashing the IPL. the super board version should come with a special after market manual which will show you the configurations you can use. Otherwise, have a dealer check it for you. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you open up the case and look at the rear of the keys, I expect you will see that there is a small spring connected to the rear of each key. i suspect the unit was dropped in transit and some of these springs have popped off. If so, just reattach them using a pair of needle nose pliers. If however it was dropped hard enough to break the fingers that the springs attach to you'll have to replace those keys. This may be a repair shop job. it may also not be cost effective to do the job. Good Luck!

Failure to recharge completely could be a sign of a failing battery.

mcdevito75 Here, The battery could be loose makeing a weak connection or the LCD screen could be going bad, Have a small watch repair shop in your area check it out. If you can do so yourself be very carefull as too much pressure on the battery (PRESSING) could destroy the LCD face of the watch, also if the display (FACE) of your Casio ever goes black, even if display returns, the LCD is going bad.

If that's from the very start when you bought it, it might a factory defect and you cannot do anything about it. That is already considered a junk. Buy another one.

Anything more detailed about the replacement of batteries? Also, need to know placement of springs. Found a third tiny spring on my screwdriver magnetic) which may or may not be part of the watch… sigh!
Thanks!
