Flashing red light on my battery pack charger
Hey, I just had this problem with a Sanyo battery pack (and i thought it was the non-sanyo Li battery) and noticed it wasn't getting warm even 2 hours after "charging" and the red light was flashing - so i turned it off, disconnected the cable from the charger and realised it could go the other way, so tried that AND IT WORKED! i don't know what that cable is called, the 2-prong black cable, but give that a go (turn off in between!).
Battery Recharging
Call Casio Tech Support and tell them what's going on. They will tell you that you can send in your battery, charger and camera and Casio will send you a new battery after you send yours in. They will also tell you where to send your stuff. The only bad thing is that you will have to pay the shipping to get your stuff to Casio.
Casio Exilim 5.0 mega pixels
Hi - sorry but this is a very old camera - nice in its day (I had one) but now so out of date.
Any camera which extends the lens is prone to disaster if the lens is knocked when extended - you don't need a grandson to do that either. Any slight fall will knock the lens out of alignment - each sections runs in a very fine twisting in/out circular track as they move - a knock will move all or part out of its track. Sometime you can be lucky and press (straighten) the lens so that its back in alignment - mostly not tho.
Given its age, and the vastly improved cameras out there now at far cheaper prices that we paid 12-15 years ago, suggest you remove the memory card and battery, and give him the camera to play with!. Go get yourself a replacement - if you want a camera which does not extend the lens, that will sit flat in your pocket/purse, even when on, consider the likes (or similar) of the Sony Cybershot DSC-TX55. - great camera - (more like a powder compact as the lens does not extend.)
I have one can so can recommend. Other brands have similar 'flat' cameras also. Save more dollars - find a nice secondhand one on ebay or similar. To use, all you do is sllde the front plate down and you are off.
Cheers - have fun taking pics of that g/son.

Take it in for a checkup.
Something broken or loose.
Only experienced camera techs can fix.
Casio Exilim EX-P505 the left arrow key doesn't work. is it setting or broken? what should i do?
Most likely the arrow key switch is broken or the contacts are corroded. If it's a snap-button switch, it needs to be replaced. If this is bad, I recommend replacing the others also. If it's a conductive rubber button (like most TV remote controls), the conductive patch on the inside is worn and needs to be repainted with carbon/silver conductive paint. A miniature snap-button switch is generally less than a dollar from Mouser Electronics - soldering skills are required for replacement. Conductive paint for rubber button switches is $10.45 for a 1 gram tube. It has a very limited shelf life once it's opened, so use up the rest on the other camera buttons, and the power, channel and volume buttons on your favorite TV remote control (if you can get it apart without breaking the case)
.
Cameras are typically difficult to take apart for repair. You'll have to consider the value of the camera versus the effort to get to the control buttons. The electronics inside are sensitive to static electricity damage, so you should work on an anti-static mat and use an anti-static wristband with it..
Hello! I have my ExS600 but I realized that my
I looked up the PDF for your camera, and it says: "use only an SD memory card or a Multimedia card with this camera. Proper operation is not guaranteed when any other type of card is used." I did not see a maximum size listed, but some cameras only accept 4GB, some 8GB. I think the important thing is "use only SD card".
Water damage, white screen on my camera
Let the camera dry out completely. If it was not salt water it may be ok. Put it in a warm dry place for a long time. It may take weeks for the insides to get dry.....remove the battery while doing this if possible.
