There are two samples for each note in the "Piano" sound samples. This allows you to play "soft = p" or "Loud = f" based on how hard you hit the keys. The default setting of 2 suit most people. You can change the touch response to 3 (more hard) or 1 (less hard). With tough response set to 3 - you play mostly the soft samples until you bang the key much harder. This is a keyboard that tries to give a bit of effect that an acoustic piano hammer mechanism would give.
