Can't figure out how to close programs
Which device are you using? If using computer using
Windows there is a small X in the top right corner. You
may be able to click on fle and the pull down menu may have close. If using iPad you can go from one program
to another and close the program using the tiny X at the
top, or close all programs at once by swiping the screen.
Hi, I have a Casio Cassiopeia EG-800STD Pocket
Yikes, this is a tough one, as i havnt used one of those in well over 10 years.. i do remember the battery life was around 5-8 hours max.. getting a new battery for one may be quite difficult. you may check around ebay however be warned that this is over 10 year old tech and you may be just purchasing a battery that is over 10 years old with no knowledge of the quality of the battery. My personal "opinion" is to get as much of your information out of it while the device still works, and replace it with a modern device such as a small android tablet or blackberry.
E-125 No Power
are you checking your adapter. i had the same problem with my casseopeia e115. i searched and searched for the battery which even casio doesn't offer anymore. i bought a battery pack which works great w 4 AA batteries but it's bulky and you lose data when you turn off the batteries. i finally went on to discover that my charger/adapter that plugs into the e115 and the serial cradle was scorched by a lightening strike and it was not charging and eventually the batteries DIED!!! I took the adapter to an electronics repair store and for $15.00 they rewired the adapter and it works!!!! it charged the batteries and worked fine.(altho i have to visit them again because i think one of the new wires is bent and i have to position it perfectly to keep charging.) BTW: any one looking for a new casio battery jk210lt...i have a couple to sell! ;-)
hope this helps
Be-300
The password is an easy thing to get rid of. The problem is, a full factory restore is required. First do a hard reset and then restore the BE300 to factory defaults. The password will be reset.
Hard Reset: Press and hold the Power Button. At the same time, press the rest button on the left side of the device with the stylus (pen). You will see a blue scroll saying Initializing. Press and hold the OK button. Once the Initializing is done, the BE300 will go into the Safe Mode screen. Press OK and follow the instructions to the Restore Screen. From here, you can perform a Factory Restore but you need the original CD or a download of the Factory Restore BIN file.
For full BE-300 support, go to www.be300.org It's dedicated to the BE300 and everything you will need is there.
CASIO E-125 has no backlight
Pretty common problem, and is normally one of three possibilities:
1. Ribbon cable that connects the backlight daughterboard to the motherboard connector has gone bad, or contacts oxidized.
2. Daughterboard itself has gone bad...
3. Power problem or cpu problem not activating upon powerup. Not as likely.
4.The fluorescent tube itself may has blown.
The cure: carefully disassemble your 125, clean the ribbon contacts on both ends of the tiny ribbon cable, be careful, it is very fragile.
If that doesn't work, find someone who has a E125 and swap out ribbon cables and see that works, that will at least tell you if the cable is bad or not.
If that doesn't work, swap out daughterboards.
If that doesn't work, sell it for parts on EBay and buy a new one, because anything else will probably be too expensive.
