If you can see the circuit board then you may be able to use a small flat head screwdriver to ‘short’ the contacts where the button used to be. If not, take it to a technician or engineer who could fit a new button for you.

I will assume that you removed the back cover ans re-seated the battery prior to asking this question. If that doesn't help, then you may as well send the phone in for repairs or plan to replace it. Electronics don't handle shocks (drops) well.

Need more details. If the phone appears to turn on (you can hear or feel it do the startup sound or vibration), then the cable between the lower and upper halves might have broke. If the screen is broken or the case cracked, then it has been run over one time too many. If you have a second battery, try it with that.
