Canon's general advice is to disconnect the power cord, wait 5 minutes, plug it back in and see what happens. Purportedly there is no "kill switch" that would stop the printer from working if you were using 3rd party ink. Normally, I would suggest resetting the printer but you seem to have one showing no power. Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Orange Computers to Canon Pixma. Try powering it off from the wall for 30 minutes. Also try a Reset.

Effective Solutions to Troubleshoot Canon Printer Error Code 6A00: Cartridge faults are not always easy to deal with. Solution 1: Check Print Head Carriage

• Make sure whether the printhead carriage is moving back and forth properly or not.

Solution 2: Check the Purge Unit

• If you have just moved the printhead assembly, the purge unit error will still be there.

You know, I think this is the most common problem in all Canon Printers and yet Canon must do something about this. In my case I already have 3 Canon Printers The first 1 is Canon Pixma MP160 and the problem is "The Ink absorber is Full" then my 2nd is Canon Pixma MP145 still the same problem occurs my 3rd is MP145 also and I know sooner or later I will be facing the same problem.

Sometimes I think the Canon's Printer is Disposable it won't last for a long time. I just hope I can find the right solution to this problem, so that i can fix my printers. I have lost 2 already and maybe sooner the other one will follow.

Go to System Preferences > Hardware > Print & Scan > click on add printer or scanner. Now let the OS search for printer under Default tab.If it finds your MP250, great. Proceed with adding and delete the old MP250 printer in the list.

HI,tlandstreet 1. Make sure you connect the printer properly to your pc.
2. Check whether the printer is paused
3. On the start menu,go to control panel then printers and faxes
- Is your printer checkmarked as the default printer?
- If not,right click the printer icon
and click set as default printer.
4. Check print jobs for any queued loads.If any,clear the queue manually by moving
to printers and faxes again,
- Right click the printer icon and then click open
- click printer and then cancel all documents
5. Restart the computer and try printing.
- If problem not solved,check out your software
- you may have to install the printer again!

Go to Start/Control Panel/Printers and faxes. Right click on the Canon icon and click on Offline turn toggle it back to Online. Please rate this answer.

oh my friend. just click the printer icon 1)click start on task bar. 2)go to settings or printer and faxes options. 3)in there you can see the printer icon 4)just right click that printer icon 5)there u will get the option 6)beside of which option there is a tick mark that is applied/enabled. 7)if there is tick mark beside the pause printing and offline option. 8)just click that option and that tick mark will go away and it will start working.

Paper type must be set to "Plain" to select Normal or Fast for Print Quality. Every other paper type selected will automatically set print quality to Fine (Photo).

How To Replace Cartridge(s)

1. Lower the Canon PIXMA MP530 printers front cover and output tray. You should also lower its paper output cover to open.
2. Then, wait for the head cover to open. ...

1. Restart the ink waste counter.

• First, disconnect the printer's power and USB cables.
• Press the Power button when opening the cartridge lid.
• While plugging the power cord into the wall socket, continue to hold the Power button.
• Press and hold the Power button until the printer begins to reset itself.
• Release it once all of the lights are turned on.
• Wait until the green power light goes out.
• After that, quickly press and release the Power button twice.
• The green light should continue to blink for a few seconds more before stabilizing.
• Close the cartridge door and try printing again if necessary.

Ink spills on your printer are a common cause of the 5b00 error in Windows 10. Reset the ink absorber if the ink absorber is full or the waste ink counter is full. This quick-fix can be used to clear out several error codes that may appear when turning on the printer. Also, if you are unable to delete the printer in Windows 10, you can use our detailed guide to quickly resolve the issue.

There are two ways to fix this:

First Solution - Clean the Absorber pads
The absorber pads is filled with waste ink. Access the printer to get these two absorber pads and clean it with soap and running water. After cleaning return it back. To access the printer, first open the top cover for the ink cartridge. The absorber pads are seated under the cartridge carrier, when the cover is open the cartridge carrier will move to the middle leaving the two absorber pads accessible. Use a tweezer to lift up the pads.

Second Solution - Reset the Printer to clear the error
1. Turn off the printer (but make sure power cable is plugged in wall outlet).
2. Press and hold down the Stop/Reset button
3. While holding the Stop/Reset button, press and hold down Power button.
4. While holding down the Power button, release the Stop/Reset button.
5. While still holding the Power button, press the Stop/Reset button twice.
6. Now release the Power button.. (wait until it display "service mode")
7. Press the Stop/Reset button four times
8. Turn off the printer

When you turn on again the printer it will surely works again.
