SD cards have a small micro switch on the side check to make sure your's is open/on.

The best way is to get a quote and then decide if it is cost effective to repair or buy another.

Sounds as if it needs a repair but get a quote first as it may be better to purchase new

If you have EOS Utillity it may be running in the background.

Ok, like this. Cameras don't have an option "HDR", they have the possibility of taking HDR photos.HDR is a term used for taking pictures with good lighting and shadows - this you need to set yourself - once you have, you have HDR ;)(High Dynamic Range)

Check your camera settings in movie mode for the correct settings for time lapse, normal, slow motion and fast motion. A slow recording memory card will not produce your problem but will take longer to save the file. If you shot the movie in PAL and played it on an NTSC TV, the picture would be in black and white with no sound and vice versa. ALWAYS format the memory card in the camera, never on a PC

More likely one of the spring contacts in the camera that connect to the SD card has become weak causing the problem.

If you use the camera cable or a card reader to get the photos on your computer, the metadata is there. When you copy the same picture the metadata is lost and is replaced by the new data at the time it was copied.

A screen that far damaged cannot be repaired at home. Inquire about the cost of repairs on Canon's website, then decide whether to do the repair or scrap it.

Get it fixed under warranty.

The image sensor is defective. There is no quick fix other than replacing the image sensor.

Send it back and tell them to do an extended test of ALL functions until they see your problem

If it's still under warranty, go to Canon's website and arrange for a repair.

I would update your audio and video codecs in the computer. There's the source of the stuttering on playback.

Try not to connect at front usb. Only back USB (due to lack of power in it)
