Campbell Hausfeld Air Tools & Compressors - Popular Questions, Answers, Tips & Manuals
Campbell Hausfeld air gun has air coming from the nose tip and no nails
If air is coming out from the nose tip but the nailer is not firing any nails, it could indicate a problem with the driver blade or piston assembly. Check if the driver blade moves freely and is not damaged. Make sure the piston assembly is properly aligned and lubricated. Also, check the nail magazine to ensure that it is properly loaded and the nails are the correct size for the nailer. If the problem persists, it may be necessary to take the nailer to a professional for repair.

Campbell Hausfeld workhorse 3.5 stops after it gets hot and only hums when you try to restart. After sometime left turned off will restart but does the same thing
This fault indicates that there is too much back pressure on the pump causing the motor to strain. There is a check valve located at the tank that prevents pressurized air from returning to the compressor. Here is how to test for leaking check valve. With no air in the tank, run the compressor till you reach about 40psi and shut off the unit. Listen or air leaking out of the air filter or the pressure switch. Leaking air indicates bad check valve. If no leak, allow the compressor to reach fail condition, then unplug the compressor and immediately let out all the air and see if the compressor restarts easily. If the compressor will not restart with no air in the tank then may have failing capacitor (s). Easy to replace. ;Good luck with your repair.
