With nothing plugged in and the noise still there it most likely the output stage of the amp. If the unit is under warranty - tag it, bag it, and send it back for a new one. If not under warranty, you should remove the chassis and inspect for anything loose and spray the guts with zero residue contact cleaner. Use the cleaner liberally. Usually these output noises are the result of loose or dirty components. Clean all the electronics, put it back together and see if that doesn't get rid of the noise. Good Luck! Chad

Start by replacing all the capacitors, especially the ones in the power supply. That could very well fix your problem, will at least take down your noise

Normally that would indicat the cable is broken or has come off the switch insid ethe pedal.

Is the "Play/Edit" switch set to "Play?" That could be the culprit, but since you said you have used the tuner while the 1/4" jack is connected, I assume you are already aware of this possible solution. If the Play/Edit switch is in the proper position, yet the tuner only works when the 1/4" jack is connected, then I'm led to believe the issue is an internal one with the preamp's tuner switch or maybe the power switch that's activated when the 1/4" jack is connected. I have reached this conclusion because the tuner is obviously getting power when the 1/4" jack is connected, so power itself isn't an issue; getting the power to the tuner when no 1/4" is connected is the issue, and that means there a bad switch or relay somewhere in the Aura itself. Contact the manufacturer. Fortunately, I use the pedal version of the Aura on a daily basis and have had to contact Fishman for tech support in the past, and they're really great about it. So get in touch with them and explain the issue; I'm sure they can help. Good luck!
