My Bunn GRXB was unplugged for one week and now it wont come on

This is really a home style VPR brewer (but looks nicer) if you listen to their video (link below) they mention it has a pre-heated tank of water already in the brewer. This means the brewer needs to be pre-filled with a full pot of water and pre-heated prior to using the brewer. Unplugging this unit won't be a problem UNLESS it was emptied of tank water and not refilled when powered up. * The unit will try and heat up the tank of water but if empty then just air which overheats the unit then blows the thermal fuse. Call for service. * Final; call for service to be safe. Water doesnt get hot

The following video shows a coffee maching that was limed up and not heating. This covers most brewers for the home and the principles of heating and running. I hope this helps. I use a volt/ohm meter and temp gauge to explain the working dynamics of the brewer. Good luck!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNVZkYPaZko

The unit is not getting power. If the receptacle is protected by a GFI, then press the Reset button. Otherwise, check that the circuit breaker (or fuse) to that receptacle isn't tripped.

A GR 10-4 date code

I had the same problem. On mine (and probably yours) the problem was the seal between the (upper) plastic water reservoir and the lower (metal) heating reservoir. No replacement seal is available. I fixed mine by coating both sides of the old seal with aquarium grade clear silicone sealer - available at pet supply stores. Just a light (1/16") coating is all that's required. Carefully re-assemble and allow the sealer to cure for 24 hours. I did that over a year ago, and it hasn't leaked a drop ever since.

Bunn perks coffee very slow?

This is generally an indication of a lime build-up in the water tubing. If you take off the sprayhead and insert the metal deliming tool into the water tubing all the way leaving out about 1-2 inches and twist it about 5-6 times, this should remove the lime deposits from the water tubing. Then flush out the machine with 2-3 decanters of water. If this doesn't fix the problem, then call customer service with the model and date code for further assistance.

Difficulty in inserting the plastic deliming tool in bunn coffee

try keeping pressure on it, and turn it around as you insert it. You are trying to go around a corner in the tubr, and sometimes it is hard to get it to go around the bend.

My Bunn coffee maker is leaking water

Dennis Karlen supplies repair parts for this problem. You can find the various kits on his website

http://www.jneuhaus.com/appliance/karlen.html

There are other suppliers who sell two silicon washers and a stainless steel washer in kits, but they tend to run considerably more.

The rubber washer would degrade quickly due to the heat. You may be able to get by with a new silicon washer. Check your local (not national chain but local francisee) hardware store.
